I'm always amazed when people are disappointed the speed doesn't a design change. The iconic double frame tubing, the single side swingarm and the love/hate headlights. Its what makes the speed a SPEED. You can pick a speed out of a crowd instantly. I imagine they're the same people say all 911 Porsches look the same . That's thats the point. Evolution not revolution. And yes I own a Speed triple.

@@waynebernitt2806 people just like to moan… I’ve seen so many comments on other forums that the upgrade is not radical enough. I mean c’mon, it was only a while back when they released the biggest change ever with the 1200!! They also forget that the 1050 was exactly the same with small changes every model. And other manufacturers are the same.

@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm for “normal riding” can’t say I’ve noticed much. However, it saved my arse once for sure: has to emergency veer hard and got onto the grass shoulder -> handlebar started wobbling but I managed to get back on the asphalt (kicked siderail). Handlebars continued to wobble but quickly stabilized. Without the damper I reckon I’d have crashed and gone over the bars most likely. Happened the day I put it on the bike too!

I would be intrested to know if the separate anti wheelie and the adjustable engine brake is a software update that could be done to the previous model years. The active suspension don't intrest me.

Knowing Triumph they won’t do that on purpose… If they did they would be sabotaging a selling point. However maybe some clever people will work out how to do it at some point in the future 😉

@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm My RS1200 is great but to be able to separate the wheelie control from the TC would be fantastic. That was probably the biggest cock up triumph made with the RS. The black rubber bands holding the wiring looms to the handlebars look very poor for a £20,000 motorcycle. But I guess they do the job and do not damage the paintwork. The three colour ways for 2025 look very drab IMO. But I agree the Granite/ Diablo Red looks the better of the three. The 2024 colours look far more inspiring Cosmic Yellow, Carnival Red and Sapphire Black/ Matt Silver Ice. Thank you for taking the time to make this video, it gave us a far better presentation of the new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 2025 than most other channels!

Thanks for the great comment mate. Was great to be the first person on KZbin to get up close with a camera. Looking forward to making a video test riding it. As for some of the details such as the rubber bands... You're right. However compared to some other high end bikes it's very well finished. Personally I like the colours, and would 100% get the grey and diablo red, but of course we know that Triumph will release other colours probably next year.

Feel like I'm spamming the comments ;-) But, no I wouldn't upgrade. Mainly as I love the Burnt Orange color and much prefer that look. I'd also have preferred the option to have clip ons, certainly not higher handlebars. Electronic suspension is sort of meh whatever, old one runs fine once setup to my weight and riding style. The ability to manage wheelie control tough.... that is just awesome. Hopefully they add it as software update but I doubt it... Plan on getting a '25 S1K RR though, which has wheelie control ;-)

I was hoping for a redesign, I love the triumph engine more as it's more well rounded. But the radical styling and the bright orange of the ktm won me over. The colors on the speedy is dull.. And I don't think the bug eyed headlights look like a flagship model.

Well, to be fair they did do a complete redesign on the last model.

@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm we have seen this design for 5 years ever since the street triple. Doubtless they will do the redesign first in the street triple again, which is odd. Seeing as the speed is the flagship premium model. I've always hated how they look the same. Atleast ktms look very different, with or without the same headlight, they manage to make their bikes look quite different (middleweight to super duke)
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm6 күн бұрын
@@rns6889 It is true that it's been nearly five years since the 1200rs was released... Seems longer than they normally do updates. Personally I believe this may be the last 1200rs as Euro restrictions are getting tougher and tougher. Just look what they did to the R1 and GSXR! Noticed how they are pushing more and more middleweights?
@rns68896 күн бұрын
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm wile that is true, European manufacturers often make much more premium and passionate products than the Japanese who value extremely competitive costs. Ducati, ktm, triumph, so far has not proven to be ones to axe models because emissions are getting difficult. They dare to charge higher prices because they are known to be the premium in the market. I hope they will keep the speedy, and I believe so. They only stopped the daytona and the speedy 1200 rr because it didn't sell well. The market generally does not want uncomfortable motorcycles. However, naked bikes are always doing well in sales, I hardly believe they would drop a flagship model they have had for 30 years, it's sold well.
