I miss the days of picking up MXA at the grocery store..... I'm not sure if my local grocery store has it, but I'll look next time I'm there. I just remember being a kid in the 90's and spending the whole grocery trip there, with mom, but in the magazine section while she shopped

@ChristopherOvrebo alot of them usually do still. I've got a few from my local grocery stores I guess it is getting less common though

90’s kid here too man and that’s how I spent my time at the grocery store as well. Would always get a few mx magazines every year in my Christmas stocking. The good days!

I did the exact same thing as a kid! That's cool to hear I wasn't the only one. lol

Most of the good mags have gone digital online now. Stores local in my area don't carry much unless you are into crafting, gardening, home improvement, money and investing or politics type stuff.

MXA is in the pharmacy's and the bookstores and some grocery stores. I did the same thing as a kid. 70s / 80s / 90s. One thing I did all throughout the 90s is I would take all the MXA magazines and put them in front of all the other motocross and dirtbike magazines. I felt it was my duty to support the people that gave me the most accurate information! LOL.

MXA and Josh ALWAYS do such an amazing job, thank you. The bike looks great. Within a couple years, they will have these dialed in and they will be awesome! Good job Triumph.

Gotta hand it to Triumph & RC. Bike looks awesome. Now if we could only get one of these companies to give Yamaha a run for their money in the 450 sport ATV category, we'd be in business lol.

From the way Josh explains the way the motor revs made me think of my 2009 rmz 450 because it’s power band starts very very smooth but it just pulls like a tractor and revs out really high which once again from how he explained the triumph power band it seems similar in my eyes!

And Ricky help build them both.
@JakeScott-ke3shАй бұрын
That 09 rmz 450 would hit rev limiter at super low rpm, you had to short shift the hell out of that bike

@DeanoLupi got a 22 450sxf and the 2 guys I ride with every weekend have 24 model 450's, one is a yz and the other is a crf. They all rev out waaay further than any older 450 especially the rmz

@ed11.Ай бұрын
@ the best part of the Triumph bike is the frame and suspension, power you can manage and also switch between maps and you still have the traction control, all of that can help you on find the best power for your ride skills but when you have a bike that is stable and holds it line and easy to fix mistakes, man that changes a lot you get faster and more confident, I tell you from my own experience changing from KTM to Triumph was the best thing ever.

I wish the USA would get directly involved in MX bike development, a company from the ground up with a Corvette-like engineering ethos. Of course they are deeply involved with Austrian and Japanese manufacturers for MX and SX, bikes but something from the ground up would be awesome to see.

Any source on the 250 updates? I have one and have not heard anything about the ECU or clutch upgrades
@jordanthomas7043Ай бұрын
How do you like it?
@aaronsaffels9448Ай бұрын
@@jordanthomas7043 I personally love it. I do notice a prominent bog off the bottom that is why I'm interested in the ECU updates. I come off Honda religiously. It took me approximately 3 corners to get comfortable on the Triumph and my cornering was immensely better. The KYB that comes stock is like riding on a cloud. Rides way better than the revalved showa setup I had on my 22 250R. Triumph OEM parts are also relatively cheap through their online ordering or through good relationships at the dealer. A new Twin Air filter from Triumph is a whole $19 and an entire bike plastics kit is $150. I am extremely satisfied with y decision to change from Honda to the Triumph. The only thing that will get the TF250-X out of my garage is if they make a 350

The 450 looks good cant wait for ducati. Idk if i want to stick w honda 450's or try a new beta 450rx they look pretty sweet seem to run good with a few upgrades just to try something different. But the 25 hondas and Yamaha 450s are great. The 450 triumph needs a 120 rear though weird it doesn't would have gripped better especially in those conditions and the triumph 250f has that weird whistle sound wonder why.
@bennyb.1742Ай бұрын
The skinny tire is a trick to make it feel more responsive. Less weight to spin makes it rev freer. Back in the two stroke days we'd run a smaller tire if the track had good grip because it would let you get on the pipe faster. I'm pretty sus of it on the Triumphs, it makes me think they're big time under powered.

Expected a better review from you guys. Completely glossed over reviewing the chassis / handling of the Triumph which is on of the most important aspects of a 450.

Handsome bike, but that black plastic takes away from the appeal of the overall bike. I wonder how that dark green Triumph color with the white rear end of the bike would look? I loath RC4 so I would never buy anything he helped develop or endorsed, but that is my own personal feelings. Thank you MXA wrecking crew for the content!
@microsoft790Ай бұрын

I would not buy bike due to that switch-that would break on any of my rides-too big-I buy moto bikes and do 40-50 mile loops thru nasty woods on the north shore-been doing this since 1974
