Let's see the Soldier Tank and the Warstic Bonesaber. My son (11 y/o) is sold on the Tank being the best USSSA bat because he hit his first home run with it and it looks "drippy". 🙄 Might have to look into the Clout for the cold weather April games.

We don’t have either yet unfortunately. I’ll see what I can do

I can maybe help out a bit here. My son (also 11) has the 30/25 Tank USSSA. He also has the Warstic Bonesaber in the hybrid and one piece, but they are both USA certified. For USA the hybrid is fantastic... but since you are looking for USSSA you will not find a hotter bat than the Soldier Tank, but its VERY end loaded at the -5 weight. Probably the most end loaded -5 bat out right now (tied with the Select Power perhaps). My son has never swung the -8 or -10 Tanks so those may play a bit more balanced. IMHO, it comes down to swingweight for USSSA bats. Do you want something light swinging, even at a -8 or -5 (Demirini Zoa for example, or the Meta or Hype Fire) or do you want something a bit more end loaded? My son can swing the -5, he used it well last summer, but at the end of the day we prefer something more balanced. With all that said, you will not find a hotter bat than the Tank. Hands down. It's an absolute beast.

@@CloranMhe’s got the -8 and -10 tank (hit the home run with the -10). I’m impressed with the large sweet spot on the -10, seeing a little difference in performance with the -8 but waiting to see if it’s a matter of break in. Good info on the -5! We’ll steer clear of it until I know he’s a bit stronger, and keep him with the -5 Icon for 11u games and probably go to his -8 Arctic fire. I haven’t seen much on the Bonesaber (usssa) so I was curious about it. He loved his USAbat version and is going back to it for rec ball this year over his icon. He does well with the slightly endloaded and end loaded bats since he’s 5-3, 110lbs.

Hey guys/coaches, I have a 9 yr old (10 in Feb) who's avg to slightly smaller than avg in size, but he's much better than avg lead-off contact hitter. He's definitely ready for a bigger nicer bat, currently swinging Marucci F5 27" -10. He swings a 29" -7.5 wood bat doing drills in the backyard, and swings well, but when we were at the store and he was swinging a 29" Zen, it just looked big. He hit a few balls, looked good, he liked it compared to a couple of the other top bats, but it looked big. I'm worried if I get the 28" instead that he'll suddenly get bigger and then I just spent $350 on a bat that lasted one season. I know, I can sell it, but still. Should I just get the 29" and use the F5 if he isn't hitting well or what?

He is putting the bat on his shoulder and dropping his hands in his load. He should do some load drills to reduce all the unnecessary bat movement that robbing his power.
