Happy New Year Richie, that '67 comp has some big hitters on it! Guns Fever and Shanty Town 🔥🔥 Amy WInehouse was a massive loss to music. A true icon that was gone to soon. I saw her in Cologne and the backup singers carried her to the end of that show. She just teetered around the stage on her high heels and pencil skirt looking elegantly wasted. Great Black Flag renditions 😆👊 Good to hear a shout out for Ronnie Wood, tremendous guitarist. Love Help too, especially I Just Seen A Face and those chord changes on It's Only Love 👌On With The Show is a fine song to finish, but they could have left it as a one minute fade out type thing. You're right about including We Love You ... that would have added a true classic psych track to a good album. Great stuff as always!

@@TheVinylVoyage-ud3uf I could live with a 30 or 40 second version of On With The Show. I know many also have a problem with the almost 8 minute Sing This All Together. I didn’t like that song when the album came out but really like it. I still think We Love You would have been a better way to end the album. Dandelion and Child Of The Moon would also fit nicely onto Their Satanic Majesties Request. Thanks for the great comment.

Happy New Year Richie! Great choice on Ringo. I didn't know until recently (Likely 3 - 4 years) he was actually naturally a lefty playing right. That in itself is an accomplishment....but indeed he was always on point. Also coincidentally, my wife and I just watched Decline Of Western Civilization pt.1 recently (hadn't watched it in a long time...watched all three actually. Pt.1 is the only one really about the music imho) but I had no idea Darby Crash had died within a day of Lennon until now. No kidding...in the shadow of giants. Enjoyed this a lot. Vinyl Richie - nice job and thanks for the history lesson on the vinyl tag. My favorite live album is the Jam’s “Dig the New Breed” - so many great songs in a great blend of ballads and shredding punk songs. BTW I totally agree that a lot of the so-called post-punk is more punk than the initial late 70s punk.

The tags can be quite a quandary as you talked about, but in the end, it's not a big deal because most people aren't going to remember what albums you showed for which prompt by the time the next day comes around. Great pick with Buck as the best from Bakerfield. He definitely defines that style of country. I think you were the person that reminded me of how great Buck was when I saw you talking about him on a video a few years back, and I thought to myself, I have to admit I really like his music, and I don't usually like a lot of country. I could kick myself for not picking up that Big Black album when I had the chance last year. I saw it in a used store and knew I had seen it on someone's channel, but I couldn't remember who and I ended up getting something else instead. Dumb. I agree that political stance shouldn't be the thing that determines whether you love an artist's music or not, and like you say "Who cares?" Some would say I hate Ted Nugent because of his political stance, but I hated his music before he started spouting off about politics. Reincarnated as Ringo, good choice....he's still alive, he is talented and he loves Buck.

At the young age of 16, Rozz Williams and his friends started Christian Death in their garage as a reaction to the growing hyper-masculine punk scene of the time. @@GlenKellawayfromthebasement Bowie has a great catalog but by the mid 80s I had moved on. He made some good records in the 90s but their sound is influenced by other artists. When in prior years he was the one that was doing the influencing. I picked Ringo because of his personality and he was in the middle of Beatle mania. The Beatles were so good as a group. Hey Rich, As expected your version of the Tag is righteous as hell! We can always count on you for some cool content accompanied by some interesting commentary LoL! Dude I know nothing about Christian Death except that they’re gothy, and yet I feel I’m being drawn to dive into their catalog. I see my local RS has now stocked many of their records so I will be checking some of them out. Ron Wood was a great choice for multiple bands played in. I feel like his playing is so overlooked. I’ve been getting into the Butthole Surfers this last year but man I wish they’d list the tracks on the sleeve . I shouldn’t ask this but when you say no one cares about politics Do you mean no one cares about what side of the spectrum others are on or do you mean no one cares in general? Because in today’s climate you should care about what kind of govt is in control of stuff like your social security, inflated prices and world affairs like trade and keeping alliances in the event of conflict.
