Just want to elaborate on a point I made, in reference to always feeling like we need to look for more. The thought that what you have isn’t sufficient. This is not ONLY in frag comm. I am simply speaking from my perspective in the community of which I produce content. Nevertheless, it’s in beauty, it’s in fashion, in everything really. It’s by design. It’s not race or gender specific. It’s everywhere. That said. I need a little normalcy. Some of us need to touch grass, & reel it back in. It’s ok to say you over did it, if that is your experience. We are human. If you have it altogether and do only what you can afford to do and have never went deviated from that. First of all 👏🏾 to you for being amazingly perfect. Realistically that is not the case for the majority of viewers. Myself included. And though it’s a them problem and not a you problem. I’m making it a me problem, because I want to be the change I hope to see. Hope this reaches those who need to hear it. If it doesn’t apply, let it fly. It’s all love. Thanks for watching ❤️

Also viewers need to get used to hearing about the same fragrances. It’s more realistic. I notice some people get annoyed or just don’t like when you don’t have a brand new fragrance to show them. It felt so good to declutter all the perfumes that I thought were just okay. It's more rewarding to look at a collection that really speaks to you. The unfortunate part was finding out I have expensive taste😅The few perfumes that I'm absolutely in love with are significantly more expensive than all the ones I either just liked or didn't care for😭 I be getting torn between wanting to try new fragrances or saving up for another bottle of a fragrance I adore.

I just purchased about 10 samples. It helps me test the fragrance and only order what I really want. Fragrances that I thought I’d like were a No and some that I were in the fence about became a love.

If you're looking to purchase midde eastern samples I'd give "Hyggescent" a look. CeeChronicles put me on to them. They're good and very reasonable. I also buy from "TheSillageByGB" for midde eastern. It's Greta's boutique here on KZbin. Samples have saved me hundreds, even for middle eastern. It all adds up.

I’m definitely with you about the bath and body works. I have body creams and washes that have been sitting for like 2 years and my taste has “elevated” if you will! Also any expensive fragrances will not be blind bought on top of that if I can’t afford it, it will have to wait.

I have really slowed down buying in all areas especially fragrance. I have a smaller collection and I want to keep it that way. I only want things that "moves" me. A couple years ago, I started being more mindful with content consumption. This is a game changer.

I'm with you! I'm on an extremely low/no buy for 2025 and beyond. Of course, I just saw your recent video with Lataffa Yara and I just took it out of my cart, lol. Now, I want it again. But, I said the same-no more backups unless I truly need it. BBW's limited editions, sales and coupons create FOMO and hoarding. I'm done, I don't have the room either. I have perfumes I love and enjoy and I need to focus on them and enjoy them more. And this is for all areas for me-makeup, bags, etc. Using and enjoying what I have!!!!!

I keep all the receipts of the perfumes that I buy because if you have a perfume channel, you can deduct that from your taxes as a business expense🤓 I thought it was a joke at first, but H&R Block seemed very confident that that is a legit thing🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 I was also able to use my new iPhone as a tax deduction because that’s what I film on. So yes, always save your receipts🤓

Yes you are right, "the next thing" is the theme of Fragcom, it's not normal life and I think it becomes overwhelming quickly if you have a channel. I know I've tried to kick back against that by mainly making sampling videos when discussing new fragrances and creating trays even of discontinued fragrances, but if you are focused on growing, this is not the type of content to make and that's ultimately the biggest problem in Fragcom, the type of content that is "successful" drives what creators make. Very good luck with your low buy. 😊

I respect you for putting this video out and keeping it real. It’s so hard with the overconsumption we see everywhere to take a step back. I am also looking at my finances and was already thinking of having a tighter year but this really inspired me too. I started working in beauty this year so I’ve started to get reintroduced to perfumes. I’ve been gifted some and have been inspired to buy some as well. I don’t have a lot at all but have enough to last me through a year in sure. I want to stop here - Although I stopped myself from buying the new Kayali scent at the Sephora sale and regret it now 😂. Might go back and buy before year end lol. Anyway you’re right, it’s good to take stock of what you have because that really helps to evaluate. Here’s to 2025 🎉🎉🎉

I love me some travel size/decants. I prefer the decants on FragranceNet of course, over the official travel size fragrances because they’re half the price, but it has helped with a lot of blind buying. I don’t live in a major city where I can test out high end niche fragrances. So it definitely helps. Getting a decant of Baccarat Rouge, Dama Bianca, Blanche Bete, Bond 9 Tribeca & many more helped, because I found out I didn’t want bottles of those fragrances, and I got to play with them overtime to really be sure. I tend to know after 3 to 5 wears. And for the ones that I loved and ended up getting a bottle of immediately, I just justify it as me being able to take it out of town with me. I don’t like taking bottles with me. As for practicing patience, i totally agree. Sometimes we have to wait. I definitely do this with Arab releases. There were a few moments where I couldn’t wait, but once you realize that you’ll get it for half the price if you wait, it’s worth it. I remember during the Nebras hype it got up to $75, and now you can get it for around $29. Yara Candy was $50 and now you can catch it at $14. You can even grab a 3.4oz designer fragrance for the price of an 1oz on discount sites if you wait 6months to a year.

Wow, I really needed to hear this! I purchased a lot of fragrances in 2024. I feel like I need to be more content and enjoy and use what I have in my collection. I agree with everything you said. I spent a lot on dupes which I will not do next year. Like you said if it is a higher end perfume that I really want like Oriana for example, I’m going to save for it instead of buying a bunch of dupes. Thank you for great message! ☺️

Yes I’ve been caught in that hamster wheel, ordering and knowing a package is out for delivery was the best feeling. I would be looking out the windows for the delivery truck. 2025 I only want to buy fragrances I ❤️ and not to just buy something. You know I love Black Opium LP, they came out with Glitter (marshmallow version), but I did good and only went to smell it and did not buy it. The Le Parfum smells better to me, glad I went to smell it first before buying it.

Hello, gorgeous!! Words of wisdom today, for sure, and it all resonates with me. I started looking for my perfect fragrance a couple of years ago. I watched all the fragrance content and my collection is now out of control. I bought some of almost every scent profile to figure out what I like. I now know the scent profiles I’m drawn to and I have finally decided that it’s time to stop getting fragrances that everyone says “you have to get” and give away the ones I’m trying too hard to love. I want to love everything in my collection. I want to be picky. And frankly, I want to save some money. (My girl is in college!) I actually put all my fragrances into a spreadsheet (scent profiles, cost, rating, etc) and I’m going to be right there with you this new year on a “low buy”. Many of my “rules” for myself are very similar to yours. So, all this to say that I’m going to be rooting for you and me! Thank you for another wonderful video, beautiful lady, and I hope that your holiday is filled with joy! You definitely have wisdom beyond your years.

Hey Cre I completely understand where you're coming from. It's like let's make it make sense. Now I've been that way this year about clothes and shoes. I gave away a lot and downsized my closets and need to do more. For fragrances, I have daughters to pass off too but I love perfumes. I enjoy seeing them they make me feel good too BUT I'm cutting back on the blind buying. I enjoy the thrill but the disappointment in some is just as bad lol. Example that pink bade a oud was a thicker delina and I'm not a fan of delina the OG. You can still have a successful chanel trying out samples and buying a full bottle of what you love. I actually love channels that do that because of 1st impressions and updates to a full bottle is more believable to me than someone buying everything new. Then turn around and declutter everything. At least your real about using your stuff and not liking it. I'll always watch you. Blessings sis!

I absolutely adore this video! 🤍 This year, I’ve made a promise to myself: to buy only the fragrances I truly know I will love. Through my fragrance journey, I’ve realized that I’m definitely more of a fresh and clean perfume girl 🧼🫧-there’s just something about those scents that makes me feel alive and radiant.
