I had a 2015 WR250F and absolutely loved it. Such a great bike. Had the GYTR ecu with the controller (before the app), full FMF exhaust. Probably the best bike I’ve had because of the flexibility. It was great on trails, decent on a vet MX track, good in the desert. Rock solid reliability, plenty of power and good suspension. Only reason I got rid of it was that we were riding more MX than anything else and I went with a YZ250F. They are certainly the same DNA. The new WR’s are beautiful !

@@TheMadMonkey3extremely reliable. Sorry for the late reply. KZbin isn’t showing me responses to my comments for some reason. I had it for about 3-4 years. I fully modded it with the GYTR ecu, full FMF exhaust, air box mod. It was an awesome bike. No issues. Even rode it at the MX track. My friend’s neighbor did the suspension for me and it was just wonderful on the vet track. Also rode the LA Barstow to Vegas ride on it. All the things you say about it giving you confidence are true. Totally felt the same way and my friend who bought it from me feels the same. He said it was like going from a butter knife to a steak knife. If I hadn’t started doing more MX, I would have kept it. For reference, the YZ250F that I have feels similar. It wasn’t a big adjustment, just felt like a lighter and faster WR. Happy riding 👍👍👍🏁🏁🏁

Cool stuff 👍 Only had mine for one week down under done 110km just done first oil and filter change.Big difference from crf250f😂. Upgraded tank to acerbis 10litre,yoshi full system removed and greased rear linkage, also have issues with being short but decided not to use lowering link which I pre ordered that would have lowered the bike by 30mm going to purchase link that enables adjustments. Waiting for suspension to settle before making changes.Soft spongy feeling front brake initially but resolved using zip tie overnight as seen on other forums. Otherwise love the bike so far.

I am so happy i found your channel. This or the Husky is the bike i want to get. My last dirt bike was 30 years back, so im basically one notch up from beginner level, and all my research online says WR's have become YZ 's and modern four strokes dont like to be ridden slow and will cut out. Seeing you chugging along is great and exactly the way i will be riding. I was going to get the x trainer, really dont want a 2 stroke. This video has changed my mind, the 2025 WR 250 is the bike for me. I've subscribed. All the best from Australia

@@jasonbull179 First of all, thank you for subscribing. It's absolutely a very hard decision I totally can sympathize with you. Having gone through a few bikes myself it's a hard painstaking process. My buddies Husqvarna fe350w is a really nice bike and I think you could go wrong with either one I think they're both pretty comparable with some differences obviously. I had the same concerns as you and have been pleasantly surprised by the WR.

I have a wrf250 2020. Incredible bike. Strong, fast, precise. Recentely I bought a Rieju MR 300 AG version. For slow tecnical terrain the Rieju is easier to ride. Less engine stall, less phisical effort to do the same job. The WR is way way better in fastter tracks. First and second gear Rieju, twird forward gear WR. I'm 1.7m, 85kg, lower average skill pilot. I hope I can keep both bikes during the next years and enjoy diferent styles.

13:50 That on/off feeling with the initial hit from the throttle is just the nature of fuel injected 4 strokes, I believe. I found it the same on most brands. It’s very noticeable when you’re coming from a 2 stroke. But when the power is on it’s very linear, unlike some carbureted 2 strokes.

I have been riding dirt for decades enduro, semi hard enduro and dual sport and I have a new WR 450. IMO you don't need the heavy aluminum rear rotor guard TM makes a HD fiber compound one and save on weight, you do need a skid plate over your linkage even if your not going to be skidding over boulders, most rear rotor damage and linkage damage is from your front tire throwing smaller rocks at speed against these items.

Great and very informative videos on the 2025 wr250f. We salute you sir! 🫡 Can you confirm its an LED headlight? Website has that yellowish halogen look to it. I'm torn between the wr250f, yz250x, or yz250fx. Kind of in that order too. I also have a crf250f for its simplicity on the slow trails. But the suspension, as you've mentioned, can almost be dangerous when the pace picks up. Im thinking this wr250f would be the one.

@@cbrmike69 thanks for watching! Unfortunately the headlight is NOT led like i thought. I'll be addressing that in an upcoming review video. I rode home at sunset one evening and its not that bad. Better than the ktm halogen headlight prior to them switching to led but still could be better. I don't really night ride but it would still be nice to have just In case. I started riding last summer on a crf250f too.

Nice. I've been riding for many years but it was on the Yamaha wr250r. Put 40k miles on it before sending her to a different owner. Very comfortable on a dirtbike. LOVE the little air cooled crf250f, have 65 hrs on mine from less than 1 year of owning it. Has its limitations so kinda want something newer and better. Dealer nearby in Cortez CO has a 2024 for discount but I'd rather order the 2025 for the upgrades/changes it comes with. By the way, I'm on my 2nd time watching this video. More watches to come. Also going to rewatch your garage walkaround video. Very detailed and informative. THANK YOU for not being an AI stupid channel haha I'm really getting sick of those 😂😂😂
