What the hell is this for $1.5 million? Clearly it is not the stately home we see from curbside although in many major American cities that would be the case, for $1.5 million you get the entire home, so I assume it is the Awkard little apartment (Condo?) shown inside. Why would you spend $1.5 million to live in such cramped quarters? For the "privilege" of being to look out from your apartment at where your rich neighbors live? Why would you invest $1.5 million into such a property? What happens if your neighbors burn the entire home down? How do you get your investment out or more importantly how secure is your life?

you didn't touch on another important aspect. Your landlord (The person who owns the whole building), because you can't legally OWN a fraction of a single structure in Canada, you need to adhere to your owners' policies, somewhat similar to Condos and their management but without a board of owners.
