WOW! This was my second car (mine was a '52 but the same otherwise) bought for $85 when I was 13 or 14 (about 1964). It was a runner...the muffler was about 5 feet long (I figured out once I got it off so I could run straight pipe). Took the front bumper off...must have weighed 300 lbs. the front end came up a couple of inches! Hated the fluid drive.......would burn out in first gear (low range) then slam into high range (third gear) skip second altogether. My buds and I pissed off every neighbor for blocks around and had a ball with this massive old beast! It was a washed out pea green with a cherry overstuffed mohair interior............ah the memories!
