You need to tighten the belt much more by pulling on the diagonal strap to tighten the lap belt before feeding the strap back through. This is a dangerous installation, the seat would not be restrained.

This is wrong 😕. The car seats come with their own straps and should be used. A seat belt is terrible to hold the seat down and their is way too much wiggle room and not allowing the seat to be fastened down to do its job correctly. You want the seat tight with zero wiggles. Also us your knee to put pressure down when pulling the pull strap tight.

It's the correct belt path for an ECE regulation seat but the belt is much too loose. This would not restrain the seat.
