In today's video - yes! we finally get the maize cut for 2021!. The irish weather is being good to us for now but its going to change soon enough so its time to get it cut. We were drawing with 3 tractors and trailers - the 6499 and the kane, the 6270 and a trainor, and the 6290 and the trainor. Bro finally has his tractor driving license so he can drive on the road drawing for the first time! The pit is worth around €20k if we were to buy it so it was vital to get it all in, harvested and safe. Our cattle can now be fed with 100% home grown feed, bar the biscuit meal.

Phil yet another day your uncle is prepared for the day and the college graduate doesn't even have a knife 🤣🤣we have a rule here you have a quick change knife, a backup, flashlight and a Leatherman quick tool or your not ready for the day 🤣🤣 6ft corn is heavy over there? Over here depending on where you are at it can be 5ft or it can be 12 ft just depends but crop looks good 👍 I think there is more in that stalk then you think but the 🌽 is the best great video

That’s a point- drivers license. I worked for 3 farmers and a contractor in Cornwall. I drove thousands of miles on road hauling or between fields. For a couple of weeks I had a learner plate of my Fiat 780 and for the next 10 years we didn’t bother with one- I never got a full license on anything but a motorcycle. On getting to the US I learned to drive a car, driving up the east coast. We then convinced an insurance company my full motorcycle was full everything to get a good rate. In my little corner of New England some farmers don’t cut until the plant is dried up.

Oh my Farmer Phil, it is my Sunday morning here, and what do I see, you cutting maize. I have never seen this before. We get our fresh corn the end of August in our grocery stores in Florida. I don't know what I was thinking when I saw the harvester pumping the sileage into the trailers, but it wasn't the stalks and the corn all chopped together that I saw in the sileage pit. Wow! When you start feeding this out you will need to explain to us non-farmers how you feed it out and how much. With the starch and carbohydrates in corn, it should put some really juicy fat on the stock. Adrian (I Farm We Farm) was worried about cutting his hedges because of the wire... Thank you again for an excellent video. I AM enjoyin' watchin' your hair grow again this Winter. Blessings... When will the pumpkins be ready, Liv?
