What a stunning illustration! Firestar grew into a massive comfort character of mine as I read the books, and I was devastated when he passed. Truly one of the most kind and creative cats within these stories.

Now that i think about it, the change and transitions of this character from Rusty, a pampered, restless kittypet in Twolegplace, to Firestar, the leader of Thunder Clan, participant and figure of two prophecies, and the kindest and fairest leader to ever have walked in the presence of the Clans. This change is amazing, and it just astounds me. It's beautiful and i bet if his past self looked at his future self and vice versa, they would both be surprised, and if they met, it would be amazing, it's beautiful!
