Me, seeing the thumbnail: "21-0 with only 7 minutes gone!" Huh, that is a VERY good start to a football (soccer to avoid confusion) game. Watches video: Ohhhh, it's a rugby game. Still really impressive though.

Mike Blair’s coaching Edinburgh and their attack is significantly better than what’s shown here. What’s your point in bringing him up?
@oliverhunter9495
@oliverhunter9495 Жыл бұрын
@@sumboi2321 Because he is another mediocre Scottish coach, we’ve been there and done that. Also coaching Edinburgh in the league is not coaching Scotland to a World Cup. My point in bringing him up here is that this video highlights what a poor decision maker her was as a player.

At the time, 2007, it was legal to pass back the ball into your own 22 to clear directly into touch. An ELV (experiment law variation) brought in around 2008 I think was adopted in 2008/9 that stopped this "pass back"

Hi, all...i'm still learning about the most awesome game in the world...that first try...my friend with the awesome hair blocked the kick and recovered it for the try. It wasn't called a knock on, which I assume is because it was kicked not thrown. am i close on that? thanks!
@downsy4567

If you block a lofted kick with your hands/arms and it travels forward, it's classified as a legal "charge down" and play can continue without sanction 👍
@just-dl
@just-dl Жыл бұрын
@@downsy4567 thank you! now that you say that, I've heard the phrase 'charge down,' but didn't connect it with being a rugby legalality! So, if it's a grubber kick, or a lateral pass knocked forward, an opposing player can't knock it down or forward, without penalty? Thanks for the assist!
@downsy4567
@downsy4567 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I think the law states "immediately" i.e. before it hits the ground, so once a grubber kick hits the pitch it can't be charged down.
