@@agentcodybanx8909the spanos is known for being cheap but in the last 3 years they made Corey Lindsey the highest paid center , they made Derwin the highest paid safety in the game and they just made Herbert the richest per year contract ever… make it make sense that narrative doesn’t fly anymore. Fact is Ekeler is an okay running back but he has never cracked 1k rush yards. He benefitted from a god awful scheme. Now that they have a scheme that will allow them to pass intermediate and deep balls herby won’t have to rely on dump offs to ek. So his value will go down

Austin Ekeler is an underrated back who was signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted player. He has yet to rush for 1,000 yards this season, so he caught 107 passes last season. Mane!

@@younggoose7315 18 TD’s scored just last season. Led the league. Arguably the league’s best pass-catching back. And he’s as productive as he is behind one of the WORST run blocking offensive lines. Also played a good chunk of last season without his team’s two main threats on the perimeter (Allen and Williams). There’s more to being a great back than crossing that 1,000-yard threshold on the ground, especially when your playing environment isn’t conducive to that.

Chargers seem to always be blessed with RBs. Tomlinson, Sproles and now Eckler. Same with QB with Brees, Rivers and now Herbert. Had they kept Brees they might've won a chip that year he went to the Saints and LT ended up scoring like 50+ touchdowns on the Chargers.
