I learned a lot watching your video. All along you have stated these as "phrases" and at some places as "idioms". It has left me confused. To me these phrases partake the characteristics of idioms. I will repeat listening your video to fully absorb these wonderful phrases/idioms.
@Speakconfidentenglish2 жыл бұрын
I apologize for any confusion. A phrase is a group of words used together. For example, a verb phrase or a prepositional phrase. An idiom is a group of words that conveys a specific metaphorical or figurative meaning. In the podcast, both are found.

I have a question to you Ma : It is for the word " works" as a noun ; Is it possible to say " What works did you do during weekend ? " or " How were your works ? "
@Speakconfidentenglish2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. When we talk about the work someone is doing or has completed, we use it in the singular form: work. So, "How is your work going?" is a common question. I hope this helps.
@English_waseem_youssef2 жыл бұрын
@@Speakconfidentenglish Thank you very much . Absolutely it helps , but I need to know when can we use it as plural noun ?
