Four years after Zelda's release, players continue to find new things in the game. This time, we focus more on glitches and game development.
In the video above, we cover 21 tips and tricks that aren’t quite as well known, ranging from secrets to glitches, some that are pretty simple and others that are fairly complex. Breath of the Wild has been out for four years at this point, and players have found some amazing things, intended or not, that keep the game and its sense of discovery feeling fresh.
We point out some secrets about the weird properties of Link’s house lawn, as well as finally getting access years later to treasure chests which were previously thought to be impossible to get. With Breath of the Wild’s highly anticipated sequel still nowhere to be found, these tricks should help you continue to push what you're able to do in the original game.

Theres this one glitch if whenever you switch shields right before hitting the ground while shield surfing it won't take the durability and it wil be shiny clean. If you do this like every 3 seconds then you'll be able to ride shields without using any durability. Good for people with collectors anxiety! (joke) Founded by me. (All you have to do is jump on the shield, right before you hit switch, jump, right before you hit switch.)

I discovered the ore thing by accident a couple years ago. I was fighting some Moblins near the Akkala Lab, and I missed a shot with my bow. The arrow hit an ore deposit right beside the Moblin, causing sparks to fly and set his wooden spear on fire. That's just one mindblowing detail in a continuous stream of discoveries hidden within this game. I'm at 900 hours across 3 playthroughs, and I still discover something new in BotW on a weekly, if not daily, basis. It's insane.

In the French version of the game, the people at the stables have sometimes names related to horses. For example, the children in the stable next to the Great Bridge of Tabanta are named Kah, Nah and Son. If you combine their names and change a little bit the spelling, you have the word "Canasson" which is a synonym of the French word for horse (cheval)

I believe that the beehive in the Korok forest can actually be reached during the shrine quest where you have to follow Oaki to the shrine. It’s the only way to get “out of bounds” in that part of the forest I believe

1. I thought people knew this, but 4/5 of my friends didn’t know you can buy pictures for your compendium in Hateno instead of taking them. 2. Although the attack of the Master Sword is 2x when fully awakened, durability (hits before it needs to recharge) is increased 4.7x! 3. The loot you get from chopping off the legs of stalker guardians is not part of their main loot pool. Meaning, chopping all the legs before killing will always get you more parts than simply killing them. 3. Guardians still drop parts if killed with ancient arrows, unlike every other enemy that just vanish into oblivion. This is a very fast way to farm ancient cores in castle town from stalkers and efficient as long as you only use one arrow per kill which can be done with 3x bows if you have trouble getting eye shots. You can keep this going indefinitely since they drop the actual parts that are used to craft those ancient arrows. 4. And not a secret but a general tip. I actually did the math on this. Rare (not the other types) Stone Talus drop an average of 1,350 rupees worth of gems and take 30 seconds to kill. Add them to your map and do a rotation every blood moon, and that’s about 15,000 per blood moon if you kill them all. Moldugas drop about the same (in the form of guts and fins that you cook in the form of 4x molduga parts and 1x critter). That’s another 5,500 rupees per moon.

I think no.10, the weird plant reaction at Link’s house might be a reference to the boss death from A Link To The Past, where small flame/explosion animations pop up all over the screen
