How I clean our expensive pots and pans after my husband cooks is I pour in enough water in the pan to cover the burnt on, dried on, over cooked food, a few drops of dawn dish soap and turn the burner on to boil. Stir the water a few times with a spatula, scraping the bottom of the pan and by the time the water boils the pan should be somewhat clean. I call it work smarter not harder. Been cleaning pots and pans this way for years!

And I can support the Folex tip! I have white curtains in the kitchen which got something tomato based splashed on them (how? we'll never know) So I sprayed some Folex on, and magically it disappeared. Didn't need to remove them. I will eventually run them through the washer, but not now since the stain is gone! I had never heard of this product until this channel. I sure hope Folex gives you a sponsorship someday!

There is another cheap hack to get stains out. It is Windex or any blue liquid glass cleaner. It gets blood out of whites, but you have to let it sit and then wash. I had an accident that left me with a concussion that took years to recover from but I still have bouts with depression where I just exist. Anyway, now that I am doing better mentally I am starting to clean more. I bought a white cloth shower curtain last summer and never washed it. I took it down to wash last weekend and I was ready to throw it away. It looked like it had been dragged in mud. I sprayed it with Windex and gave it a light scrub with a simple scrub brush and threw it in the washer and waited 😮. It looked brand new. Not a spot on it 😅.

If you clean your bathtub after you get out with your rag or washcloth, you don’t have to worry about cleaning it once a week. I was taught to wipe down the tub when you get out of the tub. Also scrub daddy or scrub mommy is the best scrubber I’ve used! Doesn’t scratch my non stick pans!

Oh my goodness, please, don't use the cloth you will use on your skin again. There's more to bacteria than just a toss in the washing machine for that cloth before it touches your skin again and the bacteria that grows on the surface of a bathtub/shower could possibly give your skin a horrible infection/boils. Please keep the body washcloths separate from the "cleaning the tub/shower" cloths.

The sponge in the microwave is not as effective as most people think. I can't remember where I found it, it was over a year ago, but I read a report on cleaning kitchen sponges. They used different sponges in a test kitchen, nothing special, just typical use. They tried all of the cleaning methods. Dishwasher, microwave, laundry, everything. Not one of them got the sponges truly sanitized. You can get the surface very clean, but there will always be resistant bacteria inside the sponge that will start to regrow the instant you get the sponge wet. They did lab tests. Swab the surface of the sponge, cut the sponge open, both in dry and wet states. All of them were extremely contaminated after a week. They had really big colonies of heat and drug resistant bacteria. Every one of them. They decided to just recommend that you should allow your sponge to dry thoroughly (until it reaches a "hard" state), after rinsing well. Kitchen sponges should be used for no longer than two weeks. After that, they are really good at spreading bacteria around your kitchen, and not much else.

When it comes to cleaning baseboards? One of my longtime friends (since junior high) enlisted the aid of her small daughters. Figuring that they were closer in height to the baseboards than herself? She simply gave each of them a dryer sheet and made a game out of it. These days, she does the same with her grandchildren. ☺️❤

It came right off without me having to take my sheets off and washing them again. I would have just washed them but I had just put them on my bed. I love the Folex. I work in hospitals and use the Sani-Cloth germicidal wipes for the outside part of my work shoes. Then when I get home from work, I remove my shoes at the door. I spray the inside with sanitizing spray like Lysol and stick them on our boots/shoes dyer. It blows heated air inside my shoes! This helps kill some of the bacteria and feel so nice putting on my work shoes in the morning!

Just found another good reason for getting organized. In cleaning out my craft room I Found 7 exacto knives and 39 bottles of paint duplicates. The problem of being disorganized is you don't know what you have and then you go buy another one. Something else to help you stay organized is a bar light that goes inside your cabinets so you can see what you have. The lights are very easy to install. I put them in my pantry, under my sink and inside my closet.

I tried both methods of drying shoes in the dryer. USE A MESH BAG! Hanging it over the door with out a kind of a cover on it, twisted the shoe laces, stretched and ruined it. Just throwing it in the dryer is not bad but depending on the kind of shoe and built, overtime it’ll separate the sole from the body of the shoe. Nowadays whatever method I want to use, I just make sure to use a mesh bag and I no longer get my designer sneakers damaged

Place a piece of kitchen roll in the bottom then add some dawn dish washing liquid and 1/2 cup of warm water . Put the lid on and shake vigorously. Another reason for a stinky washing machine is that you need to clean out the water filter Some front loaders will be on the front bottom or the pain in the butt ones will be in the back where you have to take off the back panel. You can google your machine # and there will be directions. You will be amazed the amount of gunk gets clogged up thus giving a funky odor…

If you have flat paint, magic erasers will remove paint and leave a mark. Swiffer doesn’t do a great job on blinds. A cloth does a better job. Regardless of what is used, you need to clean each slate individually and not a quick pass. Clorox wand isn’t necessary. I had one and got rid of it. A Dollar Tree microfiber mop head works better.
