In this video, Tim demonstrates his daily squat routine for healthy, mobile, and strong legs. The squat is one of the movements you were meant to do and having the ability to do it just makes life better!

Loved the squat wave example!! Yes, everyone should be able to squat (and get up from the floor and scoot in supine and weight shift outside their base of support.) Really appreciate your tips!

Varying the style of squats has helped my efforts, and someday I hope to "rest easy" in a deep squat, like you can! Meantime, I persevere. I like these new samples!

That's awesome!!! Thank you! I have found that sitting in a squat is the greatest thing that I have found for health and resiliency. Especially since I'm a skateboarder.

Love it! Thanks. I will definitely put these 21's into my rotation alongside barbell biceps curl 21's. Being closer to 77 than 76 I'm happy to be able to do any of these exercises. I'm sure it has something to do with my faith/belief in Allah and years of performing the five times daily prayer movements called Salat since the early 70's. It incorporates standing, bowing, kneeling (no hands) and placing one's face on the floor thereby facilitating fresh blood flow to the brain, before standing up without using your hands thereby helping to maintain ones balance into old age. I'll check to see if you have other 21's to add.

I agree! Your faith routine has kept you mobile and strong for decades! That is so awesome to see. I’m a fan of 21 Dandes, or Hindu Pushups a day also! Keep up the good work my friend!

Hello Tim, thank you for the work you put into helping us nourish our bodies and all of us… When I rock I struggle to keep my head up, is that in the range of normal?
@OriginalStrengthSystem
@OriginalStrengthSystem 11 ай бұрын
It is, but it does get better and easier over time. Practicing head nods, lifting your head up and down, while on all fours is also a great way to encourage mobility and strength in the neck. And, when rocking, when your neck gets tired, try to keep your eyes on the horizon. That is like holding your head up when you’re not actually holding it up.

Hey Tim -- a question about your gaze/eye movement (as I'm curious to explore how a fixed vs fluid gaze will affect spinal movement here). Are your eyes focusing on a fixed point on the horizon, or are you looking down/up as you progress through the cycle of each rep? I find that I sometimes rhythmically adopt an active circular pattern of eye movement with Hindu squats and Wave squats -- it sometimes feels natural to let the eyes find my feet as I slowly lower, and then as I come up, my eyes seek the horizon. Curious to your thoughts/experiences...? Thanks as always -- have a great day! ☮🙏🏾 😎

Hey John, I do both. Sometimes i fix my gaze, sometimes i have a relaxed gaze and perhaps daydream, sometimes I use my eyes to initiate flexion and extension. It all makes a difference and I’m ok exploring the differences. It seems you are too!

Hello my friend. Our height is largely determined by our genetics more than it is by what we do.

It’s just a great number. Done everyday it gives you 7,665 squats in a year. That’s a healthy body and nervous system. It’s also a capable body for very little effort.

Caution with this ‘wave squat’. I’ve got a calf strain trying to achieve it; and they take for ever to heal. Trying to do this movement my legs had not done before. Regretting it.
@OriginalStrengthSystem
@OriginalStrengthSystem Жыл бұрын
I’m sorry to hear about your calf strain. If you decide to try the wave squat again, maybe start with holding onto something like a door jam or a stick like in this video: The Hindu Squat with a Stick kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3jWXqqtj5Weq7s.
