As in, you personally could not find a place to send the included duct hose, perhaps because you’re in an enclosed space without window access. If one DOES have a window, say in a house room or in an RV or van, there would certainly be ways to insert a panel of your own making, with a round hole cut-out, into a window opening. Even a piece of cardboard could suit, though for security reasons an aluminum panel would be better.

@@eileenbrodie7686 I cried when I sent it back. The quality is just amazing! But for what I need it for it just didn't justify the cost. Believe me I kept thinking how I can keep it. It'll be perfect for those tents though - which I'm thinking of adding to my camping setup in the future. I saw tents with doggie doors and air vents which will be perfect for this. Hopefully it'll still be available then- wink

In a market society, how can it be ‘too bad’ a produced product gets necessary mark-up? Do you price/give away your own labor or products without covering the real-world costs to get them to the curb and to buyers? It’s wholesale; 300-unit pricing. But I agree this info as presented was a tease, not readily making it clear that the retail pricing was going to be more than wholesale.

This dehumidifier product is an old scam. Dehumidifiers are not air conditioners!!!! Air conditioners move heat to a different location such as outside! That unit has no ducts outside so its just a dehumidifier!!! I work in HVAC as a compressor repair tech.

I believe that this does come with a duct. They just don't show it. I have no idea how it attaches, but it looks 100% unusable, making it a 700BTU space heater instead, designed to trick consumers that are clueless about what a heat "pump" is. Gotta pump the heat somewhere... Even if it had a fully usable duct, it's a pretty useless air conditoner size. 1800BTU will become something like 1000BTU after accounting for a single ducted hose, on such a small unit.

This DOES have attachable vent duct-though not shown at her booth. And a drain hose either to daylight with a hose or you can use a separate tank. And it does have a compressor and IS an air conditioner-it is not a dehumidifier.

Probably he’s not even an authorized industry trade show attendee? -He didn’t explain things well at all, because $210 is the WHOLESALE price. So, $600 to ~800 retail is not really a ridiculous price when you realize that $210 is the wholesale price, for a 300-unit sale. This was quite evidently an industry trade show, displaying wares to wholesale buyers. To manufacture something unique like this true-compressor A/C, (with Panasonic internals), it’d be economically unsupportable for a wholesale manufacturer to release them as individual units through hectic retail channels for $210. Setting up normal retail sales structures would cost them $$, not to mention shipping individual units vs pallets to wholesalers. Just expanding on this, so we don’t mistakenly assume we’re being ripped off.
