Probably not that many folks here have run bikes on the dyno but when the ass end starts sliding like this one is around 3:26 that’s a real good sign it’s got a ton of power. I’d guess the numbers they came up with are on the low side of what this bike is actually putting down.

So with that much power, aren't you going to just keep destroying transmissions? Not to mention a HD cruise drive! The chain is only as strong as the weakest link. Will someone please clarify?

A tight chain wears out faster. 1.5 inch of play at a standstill is good.
@vtwinbuilder3129
@vtwinbuilder3129 3 жыл бұрын
It’s just the slack on the return side where there is less pull. If you run a chain too tight on one of these you’re just asking to walk a bearing in your primary or transmission. The output bearing on a 6 speed is pretty weak to begin with so you want to be right around 1 1/4 inch in your chain slack.

But it seems to allow the motor to breath more at the top end, and the amount of power available at lower revs is more than adequate - indeed it'll make the bike more tractable in town and traffic..... It's nitrous, not n/a that's why. As if they've got the secret recipe to 200+ whp n/a no one else has. There's way too many Harley shops out there for this to be the only one to make it magically happen.
@thakery5720
@thakery5720 4 жыл бұрын
@@RidinDirtyRollinBurnouts Then where is the bottle that is the tank for the nitrous ? The graphs show that the pipe is not providing enough back pressure centering around 3500rpm, when the engine gets up around where the torque starts to taper off - this is normal for S&S 143's. The BHP also suffers at 3500 but it is higher at 4 to 5000rpm - again normal for this engine. and such a big engine is never going to breath correctly at lower RPM if the heads are set up (with bigger valves) for top end power. This is showing that the pipes are just too small for the size of the engine - and that is why S&S markets their own pipe just for the 143 which avoids the (probably reversion) problem . Remember this engine was built for baggers and bagger riders don't rev their bikes that high...... S&S know more than most shops and certainly more than you do !

Pfffft ......guess you forgot to look a sheet thats means absolutely nothing ....nowadays done all the time and more. 175-180hp 140inch with street manors. You might be a bit behind the times....

Doc Holiday then lets see the dyno sheets. I have seen the new 131 run and it was 127hp. I made 105 in the early 80s with lots of time and money in my shovel. It would snap a chain and you couldn’t put it to the ground it would just fry tires. I can see over 150 on race or more blown but lets see it.

Ron Jacobsen wouldnt matter....your out of the loop. Yep still running a 95 hp shovel myself ...but snap the chain? Really....better go figure chassis shit out.... But a 140 evo i have is easy 170 hp with less than 11 to 1. Go do some research my friend.......there is a 326 hp bagger running around NC street ridden bike.... my silly ass junk M8 bagger is already at 127hp nothing special ..bolt on shit ridden everyday here in new england from 28 F to 100F . You do realize there are 155-160 inch motors out there doing 200 all day . Hey have a nice day.....go do a little research 😂🤣😂🤣

S&S has a full race 143 and its only 160 rewhip and not on pump gas i was told so i would like to see 200 from this 143 cu engine. And theres is not street able. I ride a 13 anv ultra limited so hp is non issue compared to my zx14 last bike or turb busa before that.
@ronjacobsen3264
@ronjacobsen3264 4 жыл бұрын
A stock se 117 only puts out about 94 hp. What bolt on kit are you referring to? A stage 4 new jugs heads injection and tune is hardly bolt on for most of these guys and your still a long way from 200 maybe 120 ish. 300 riding around and a harley? What a nitro burner? My turbo busa wasn’t pulling 3 about 280 and it wasn’t a street ride any longer even if it was legal. You cant go down the interstate lofting the front end every time you shift just doesn’t work too well.also a shovel isn’t a evo as you should know its a farm tractor with all the power down low . Harnessing it can be a problem with high hp. Chain snap. No traction burned up starters. Ectttt.

Not trying to be a dick but I’m not seeing 200plus on gas normal aspiration harley engine pulling 200. I could be wrong but you would need 180 cu at least. Iv run fast harley and over 100 hp to me is great. But unfortunately harley has lost me and many other customers.
