STD:STD is Another power correction standard determined by the SAE. Power is corrected to reference conditions of 29.92 InHg (103.3 kPa) of dry air and 60 F (15.5°C). Because the reference conditions include higher pressure and cooler air than the SAE standard, these corrected power numbers will always be about 4 % higher than the SAE power numbers. Friction torque is handled in the same way as in the SAE standard. The dyno corrects for air pressure or density altitude already.

People cry about how big the engine is "That engine is almost twice the size!"...The reality is it turns half the RPM. It's output is the same or more than the high revving I4's which are 60-85 ci. (1000-1400cc) If they were limited to 6200rpm, they would be making 75-100hp! It's amazing what you realize when you go into things with no hate of any brand or style, just love for 2 wheels.

Hello...Nice build with an interesting cam choice (CR-515); awesome numbers (173+ torque & 156+ hp) and excellent curves, specially the torque. This combo would be great on a Bagger (touring chassis) such as my Road Glide ST, which I've set up with upgraded suspension (and more) for 2-up riding along the coast here (So. Cal.) and up in the hills/mountains inland, with all the curves & twisties. Well done! My current Project: '23 Breakout, S&S 132 top end kit, Darkhorse blueprinted/upgraded bottom end, S&S 550 cam w/full S&S cam chest kit and top end kit (roller rocker arms, etc.) and reworked/upgraded Heads (oversize valves, port work, etc., etc.]. Might look into some cams from Star Racing...3/4 Race (585 lift) and full race (615 lift, power band 3000-7000 rpm). The full race might be a bit too much for a street bike, and even the 3/4 race cam (from what I hear) is definitely for above average aggressive riders.

I've come to the conclusion where I live next to lakes and state parks that I can't use all of the power , 5th gear feels like 4th gear now and 6th gear feels like 7th if that makes sense😂

Great content. My biggest frustration with Harley is they come stock as underpowered, bloated pigs. I had a Low Rider S and once I started looking into all the modifications it needed to get it to ride the way I wanted, I sold it and went back to sport bikes. These things are every bit...and in some ways more expensive to work on than a Ducati, which is absolutely absurd. For as heavy as they are, these bikes should be pushing far more HP and torque stock. For the record, I see Harley as a true icon in the motorcycle industry and I wanted to love my Lowrider S but in the end it just wasn't worth the investment.

Great build Mr Miller, do you believe in running in a new or rebuilt engine or do your rev them from the get-go
@MasterTechMiller8 ай бұрын
Great question. So I set all the clearances & ring end gaps during assembly. I heat cycle the engines with no load (just idle speeds & a few free revs here & there). After that it's straight to the Dyno to set the Air/Fuel Ratios ASAP to ensure no washing of the bores or and lean conditions are happening. So in, short, NO, I don't believe in running in engines.

do these builds require a special type of clutch? I have been curious of that, I have a 2020 FXBB Street bob and shes got a stage one. SE heavy breather intake, 2to1 bassani road rage 3 exhaust and SE tuner. Making 89 hp and 117 ft pnds of torque. At what point would a new clutch have to be considered?
@MasterTechMiller4 ай бұрын
Great question. So we run the stock clutch basket & plates with the only addition being the Screamin Eagle 1275nm clutch springs. This setup is fine to run on the street with TQ levels & output around the 160ft/lbs mark. Above this & for race applications, an aftermarket clutch may be considered

Crikey, that's enough torque to sheer the threads off the nuts that hold the Sydney Harbour Bridge together! Why do Australia post insist on using Honda step throughs? A centrifugal clutch and an all up shift pattern, and a bike like this would be ideal for them. Great for dairy farmers, too. Less time herding up cows and taking them to the dairy twice a day and more time to plough paddocks... if rounding the cows up on a bike like this didn't achieve both goals at the one time.

I personally ride & race & drag race on the OEM clutch with upgraded springs. Just like George Bryce from Star Racing. Don't be a sucker & think you need all these peices of jewellery for your engine.
