There's some "nail polish remover" that's 100% acetone you can find at the dollar store here in US. I find it amusing they call it nail polish remover.... most are watered down like you said. Labeled NPR or Acetone labeled at the hardware store it's the same stuff. Lol I used to work in the paint department at Lowe's. How i know, 😂 I used it often. There.... and at the nail salon I worked for as secretary.

Julie try putting petroleum jelly (or similar) around your cuticles before you add the cotton balls, to help with the drying out.

It's called an orange stuck because typically they're made from wood from the orange tree.

They are called orange sticks, because they are usually orange in color. The acetone and cotton ball method is the best way to take off gel polish.

I've been looking at Sistco for a while now & wondered what it would be like. I hope you show us tomorrow how to use it as I would be very interested in watching it being applied. I had Psoriasis of the finger nails so therefore couldn't put anything on my nails at all. Had 2 heart attacks in 2 days & had 4 stents inserted in my heart. Since then, 18 months ago, I have no Psoriasis on my fingernails at all. So after all this time, I'd really like my nails to look pretty again for a change. Hence the interest in Sistaco. I've never known anyone to use it until now Julie, so I'd really like to know all about it if you have time to message me. Thank you

Have always used this method in the past but after I got the Nailboo system I’m hooked. Quick, easy and doesn’t damage nails. Just plug it in and put the solution in and dip fingers in and it’s off quite fast. Slides off the nail. Not that pricey either. Much easier than the foil and cotton method.

Julie, how much thicker is the sistaco on your nails vs nail polish? I need a product that acts like acrylic because I need strong nails as I load about 1000 boxes a day into trucks and worry about them breaking? I really want to get this, and that is my only concern.

Cuticle oil three times minimum a day is recommended. Both when using lacquer or gels. Gel is supposed to be on for two weeks at a time, if you remove it too often (weekly changes) it’s not good for your nails. If you used regular polish then weekly changes is ok. As polish like dazzle dry is gentle and good for your nails.
@Barba_Fett13 күн бұрын
Two suggestions, 1 in the US the have cosmetic grade acetone that is 100% acetone but is produced in a way safe for use on humans. 2 If you change your nails often, like every week you can get a peel off gel base coat that you can easily peel off so you don't have to soak your nails as often. A bonus tip you want to wait an hour after washing your hands so that you nails are not swollen from the water or your belly will not stick or may chip. Same with oil

As a nail tech I kinda cringed when you took out acetone that isn’t cosmetic grade but hardware store kind. Do not use that on your nails! It’s not made for skin or nails at all. Please! It’s like using turpentine on your nails and skin! Also, always buff off top coat so the acetone remover works faster. Should only take ten minutes to remover gel.
@Pittypat74713 күн бұрын
And the fumes from acetone are very toxic! Keep that cap on when you aren’t using it ! Wear a mask and don’t let that acetone stand open like that for you to breath in!
