Lovely walk Patrick...i had to laugh when you mentioned Dick hill...Laugh because i was up there once and as i approached the war memorial i saw a chap sitting on the step with his trousers round his ankles, sunning himself ...he didnt hear me so i coughed he jumped out of his skin and ran off trying to pull his trousers up...nowt as strange as folk...ha ha.

Thanks Steve. So Dick Hill was probably named after that chap you saw with his trousers down!! 😂😂😂 Nowt as funny as folk as they say. All the best 👍

Hi Patrick, Thank you again for another wonderful walk, so sorry to hear that you had covid again its not a very nice thing to have. we know what you went through as we had it, ending up in hospital. So pleased you fastened your hat on in the wind. we do so enjoy walking with you, take care, regards Dave & Jean.

Wow Patrick, what a fantastic presentation of my channel. So moved by your kind comments. Glad that you are recovering from your recent illness, Patrick. Best wishes from Christine and myself. Firstly, with this video, the Georgian church of St. Chad's is an outstanding and unusual building. The windows are very deep indeed, and they stand out like no other building of prayer that we've ever seen before. When you ascended on to the moor it was amazing to see the rock formations with the names that they have, too. 'Pots and Pans' rock is great, and the war memorial is as well. The views like you say are most splendid, with the reservoirs and the distant villages as well as looking right into the heart of Manchester city centre. A most enjoyable film, yet again, Patrick.

Thanks Ffranc. This was back in August so I've fully recovered from my spell of Covid thanks. Thanks Ffranc for watching and for all your comments 👍

Hi Patrick. I'm sorry to hear you have been unwell and COVID has struck again. It must have been a relief to get out and do some filming after self-isolating, but a good choice to keep others safe is important. Lovely walk Patrick, I haven't been here before. Thanks for taking us along with you on your adventure.

Hi Patrick. Enjoyed your latest although I have only flown over your area on route to jobs over Manchester. Have had a look at Countryside walking, per your suggestion, but sadly I have to say their output can't hold a candle to your videos. Continuity is everything which you have nailed wonderfully. Makes a world of difference in my humble opinion. Your Peak videos bring back memories of many hours walking with my late soul mate.

Another beautiful hike, Patrick. You sound like you still hadn't fully recovered at that time. We have had it twice, too, and the first time was definitely the worst. It really takes it out of you. Good on you for self isolating. Many wouldn't. This is one hike I have plotted but not done yet. But until you got to the War Memorial, you definitely had it to yourself. I've been following Shanita & Michael for about 6 months now, and everything you say about them is spot on. It's a great channel. I've really enjoyed the video as I do all your videos, Patrick. The walk was excellent and how funny is Dick Hill 😆 I'd never seen that pots and pans stone before. It's definitely unique. I always love a good obelisk, as i have an Egyptology degree. Looking down on Dovestone reservoir was great. What a view. I wish we still had stocks.
