I’ve watch most, if not all of your films (some many more times than the once), and just wanted to say that it is always fascinating when you return to places you’ve been before many years on. The signature tunes that reference back to the previous visits are always a nice touch. You deserve to be proud of your body of work!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and for watching. I am very proud of what I've done over the years, without wishing to blow my own trumpet so to speak 😂 Glad you've noticed and enjoyed the subtle references I've made with the music to the much earlier films. Many thanks again and all the best 👍

Thoroughly enjoyed this video as my Gran was born at Viney Hill, and her parents were married in the church, and are buried in the churchyard there. My Gramp was born in Yorkley, so it’s brought back a lot of childhood memories watching this. Thank you for a great video.

Another good walk Patrick. It does irk me somewhat, that there isn't a requirement to preserve clear vistas from hill tops when tree planting schemes are approved. Especially given that most are funded from the public purse.

Some lovely woodland walks in this area, Patrick. Viney Hill looks a very nice little hamlet complete with the lovely church which was great for you to have a look in. Yorkley is another pleasant place along your route, and you were lucky to find the old track which had overgrown, but rewarded with the fine views later. Danby Lodge is a lovely looking building along the way. The Blackpool Bridge of the old railway is in splendid condition after a long closure. A great video, Patrick, to wind up your week in this grand area. Many thanks, and looking forward to your next walks.

Thanks as always for watching and commenting Ffranc. This was a good walk to film during my last day of staying in the area back in May, but I returned for a few days in June to film more walks, so the first of those will be published a week on Friday. All the best 👍

Hello Patrick , great video I know that area very well , when I come home with people from Canada I always take them to see the Roman road , I seem to remember it been kept up a little better back in the day . I also remember seeing some very old crucibles for smelting near some of the streams , there was one lovely stream lined with stone work but I cant remember the place . Thank you Patrick.
@solitaryramblerАй бұрын
Morning Shaun, thanks for your great comments and for watching. I don't know where the old crucibles you mention might be, but the Roman Road was quite overgrown on this occasion. All the best 👍

Interesting seeing different areas such as Wenchford on your walk and glad you liked your holiday/accommodations too. Some pleasant woodlands. The intro xylophone melody have heard before somewhere. But again really liked the relaxed guitar riffs and synths to track. Thanks Patrick. All best.

Morning Shanita, that was a nice flat in which I stayed for this week and suited my purposes. The xylophone solo was my Forest of Dean theme again, glad you liked the guitar riffs too. Thanks for all your lovely comments Shanita and for watching. All the best to you 👍

Patrick this really has been a nostalgic trip and really quite homesick too. I welled up when you went into Viney HIll church as many of my kith and kin are buried there, I've also done the walk into Yorkley many many times. If you ever get back to the Forest in the future then do try and visit Aylburton, the Church of St Mary, opposite the Cof E school is just beautiful. Thank you so much for your video's , they bring so much joy.

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments. Pleased you enjoyed this and that it brought back good memories for you. I did return to the Forest for a few days during the following month as mentioned at the end of this film, so the first of those will be posted a week on Friday. Many thanks again for your comments and for taknig the time to watch. All the best👍

Two nights in a pub, I bet you had a ball. You have been extremely lucky of late with your churches being open. I recall a spate of them being closed. That being said, I've probably jinxed it now. That took you back to your original filming days with the old gang of Whovians. Happy times. You can see the greenery coming into full colour on this one. It was just ready for summer after all that rain. It looks like you had an enjoyable six days there and thanks for bringing us along because I know it's tiring work. Cheers Patrick
@solitaryramblerАй бұрын
I did indeed Kelly, all of which will be revealed in a film that will be published in October. I'm still getting days where all the churches I visit are either open or closed, so it's the luck of the draw on the day really. Yes I wanted to specifically refer back to when my old Whovian mates were in a film with me over 20 years earlier, so it was great to find that one spot near Yorkley which looks totally different now. The six days I had here in May were great, as were the few days in June, so films from that month will be on their way soon. Thanks as always Kelly for watching and commenting. All the best 👍

Only a guess, Patrick, but the Jesus Rock may be so-called because it in three sections, suggesting the Trinity of God, the Son (Jesus) and The Holy Ghost.
