I lived in the PNW for 12 years and adventured all over the Cascade's, I experienced the tree knocking in the small hours of the morning when camping. It was close to my camp. My hair was standing up straight and I got the shakes, bad. An absolute reality changer. Your presentation of the experiences of others, and yourself is top notch.

Good story, Fred. I've heard twice that Hairy Man can run over 50 mph. One was clocked along an Interstate running about 70 mph! I would never have thought even 50 mph was possible.

Despite hearing probably thousands of witness accounts, my jaw dropped when you said about it going up a gear and shooting off at crazy speed. Probably cos I had in my minds eye that he was getting air speed in a plane and it still ripped off.
