Just finished watching this video and it makes me more determined to go up to southeast Missouri to 10 acres of woods that I bought and start building. Just lost my wife of 47+ years to oral cancer and have been lost since them. Although I am 69 years old, I don't think it is too late. Thanks for the inspiration. May God Bless you and your daughters and keep you on your journey.

Learning your story has actually brought tears to my eyes a couple times. Not because I was sad for you. Because I was so happy for you. I also live in a tent. Mine is only 14x10 with 7 foot head clearance. I am extremely happy living in my tent in the woods. I may be houseless but I'm not homeless. A house is just a house. A home is where your heart is at.

I know you won't see this comment but I wrote down my list a couple years ago. Mine was travel and my cats. That is what made me happy. Two years later I am on the road with my cats and writing children's books about them. I came up with The Traveling Kittens! I sold everything and am traveling in a Prius and will be starting a KZbin channel as soon as I can figure it out! Glad to have found your channel. My journey is just beginning!

I wouldn't let a guy buy me a car ! They throw that crap back at you and expect you to do everything and anything for them because they gave you a new car . No ring , no car . People who don't have to work for things have no idea ! Stay strong ! My Irish mother taught us to not take any crap from anyone and be strong and independent ! You are a strong independent woman and your girls will be strong young women as they grow up by seeing their mom being strong . Oh and your dog is awesome ! Love you videos !

My daughter went to Africa many years ago on a humanitarian mission. She traveled and taught for 3 months all alone. She was taken advantage of by some dishonest people to the point that when it was time to leave she had her ticket home but not enough money to buy food for the 3 day trip. She was only 19 at the time and too proud to tell us of her plight because we were not thrilled about it in the first place. When she was safely home she told me that she had learned a lot about trust and life’s realities in that short time. She had sold her American T-shirts and a pair of her athletic shoes in the airport to provide for 2 meals on the way home. The next thing she said makes me choke up to this day, (yes, this day): “But you know what dad? I never cried once.” You remind me a lot of her.

Bravo. At a dark time in my life, I was laying in bed looking up at the ceiling thinking what in the hell have I done? I too had an epiphany and made a list. Now, 45 years later, I've done it all. Literally, done it all. The list is the roadmap and without a map, the journey has no direction. Amend the list along the way but always have the list. Good for you for posting this great advice.

I found you yesterday on YT because I fantasize about living in a tent. I realize I have been doing this for years. My husband never camped, my kids grew up -- so they don't camp with me anymore, and all I want to do is sleep in a tent long term. I collect amazing camping equipment and am not afraid to camp in campgrounds alone -- in fact, I love it! I want to camp in the woods alone for an extended time but am afraid of robbers -- not bears, not cold weather, just robbers. I know it is very unlikely, but that is what I face. Anyway, you give me courage. Subscribed and watching!

I agree when you said i found my purpose, cause you are really good at it, I guess your motivation was the jealousy for your friend that it turned out good. I already found was my purpose, working with children, it took me 36 years to find it, like you said I made a list on what I like to do, after a breakdown in my life and playing with the children was the one. I work with children now and i love it i also do voluntering job in a creche and mum and tots Now I have another goal get a flat or small house for one person (me) now i live in an house sharing and to do this I have to do more hours and that why I m doing a course in early year educator so I can do more than 4 hours a day. All the best for your next goal. I m with you.
