Hi Britt. This piece is absolutely beautiful. I need some help. I love to resin my work, but every time I do, on the edges, it seems to roll off and leave them rough and bare. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong and maybe have a trick or two of your own to prevent this? Thank you so much for any help you can give me. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us ❤️

Hey Michelle! Thank you for your kind words!! So with resin - what you have to remember is that it’s heavy. Because of that, it will tend to pool more in the center of a canvas if you don’t support the back. That’s what causes the resin to pull away from the edges. Instead of going over the edges, it’s seeping back to the center ever so slightly. I would recommend cutting a piece of thick cardboard to fit into the back of your canvas, make your whole surface more stable. It doesn’t need to go between the canvas and the wood frame. It just need to be the perfect size to fit within the back. You can tape it around the edges of the wood frame to get it to stay in place. I hope that helps!
