These are beautiful. Interested to see the moulds lightly filled, then the transfer pressed into it - maybe with a small ball - so that it can be back-filled and the pattern is raised up into the piece. Viewing the piece from the side would reveal a spherical inlay.

Ive sort of do this for my bangles. But im pouring organic shapes directly onto clear latex stamps then curing. I brush my stamp with micas then pour the resin onto the stamp. It peels off easily and the textures show very nicely with the mica

These are beautiful!! I was thinking Aztec designs. What grit level sandpaper did you use? And as for the nail polish, normal nail polish doesn’t work very well on these plates. You need to buy special nail polish. I have some of these plates & I hate it when they engrave pointlessly over the edges of the designs. You can get small plates with smaller individual images which could work if you wanted to create a 3D image in the cabochon. Maybe adding a small layer of clear UV resin before adding another layer.

Love this idea! I think maybe if you pop them out of the mold and immediately lay them face up onto something like a metal jeweler's block for a few minutes, they might cool off enough to remove the "texture plate" you made, without distorting. That's my idea, anyway 😉 Love your experiments, btw! Thank you for sharing what you learn!

Great work as always Daniel, i was using your dipping method but my cocktail sticks were cheap and nasty so i used the micro brushes stick instead after removing the brush part, worked better than the cocktail stick when it came to removing it from the piece.
