The term 'Roman' Catholic is 800 years old and cannot be found in the credo so it is not a fundamental article of faith. From 34AD-1978 the Pope was based in Jerusalem for 7 years, Antioch for 1 year, France for 70 years (Avignon for 67 and St Innocent II exiled there for 3 years), 57 years in Viterbo (on two occasions) and 13 years in Salerno. This is a total of 215 years or 11% of the time that the Catholic Church has existed. Now the Catholic Church is in Palmar
