Bill and Stephanie Schlegel describe how they came to a belief in the One God of the Bible and His Messiah Jesus. If you're a trinitarian you're a Catholic I have believed in one God for 18 years. And I'm proud of you for declaring there is only one God. It takes courage. I'm a Jewish Christian. Bill, for what it is worth, you doing great. As you know, there are those of us obviously who have understood the man Christ Jesus for really decades and also came to understand it on our own amidst a different Christology. it's a challenge but you had a good foundation to work with and therefore have been able to move more quickly than those of us who kind of were at a starting point just learning The Bible in the 1st place. Sincere questions: How can Christ be merely a man born of the virgin Mary via Holy Spirit not of man? To deny the virgin birth is to accept that Jesus Christ was born with the sinful blood of Adam thus making him a sinner like the rest of us and not the spotless/sinless Lamb of God. Doesn't Christ here speak of his eternal preexistance with God? John 17:5 “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” Also, if you reject the immortal soul how can Christ in your belief "a man" sit at the right hand of God to intercede on our behalf? Man dies but Christ was resurrected, and glorified.

I have been doing a thorough study of the Bible as well as related material for more than a year. Even as a child, raised in the Catholic religion, I questioned the trinity doctrine, but accepted it. My mother must have known the truth about things. The trouble is that catholics get their knowledge from their catechism, not the Bible. If one makes a sincere study of the Bible, it doesn,t take long before, one discovers that the Catholic church is so steeped in false doctrines, pagan rituals and celebrations that it rapidly becomes apparent that the Catholic church is the spearhead of Babylon the Great. The religious doctrines of ancient Babylon were several gods, one triune god, immortality of the human soul, a place of gloom after death. These doctrines spread all over the world when their language was confused. Babylon the Great is the world empire of false religion that harbours these beliefs. These three doctrines, as well as deification of certain humans after death are satan,s doctrines and any part thereof form the basic beliefs of all false religious. Satan does not counterfeit anything. These are his religions, driven by his doctrines. This is why Jesus commands us to get out of Babylon the Great. All the Catholics, protestants, including Baptists & Penticostals and pagan religions are marked for destruction. The true religion of God harbours none of these doctrines. Instead it believes that *the soul that sins, it shall die, go into the grave and cease to exist until resurected by Jesus who has been given authority by his Father to do this. HELL is a mistranslation of the words SHEOL and HADES which simply mean GRAVE and should be translated as such. Jesus is the first and only creation of God. As shown in Proverbs 8 . 30, Jesus and his Father worked together to create everything. As Bill points out, everything was created by him, through him and for him. Isaiah 42 . 1 further identifies Jesus as the one being spoken of in Prov. 8. I suggest that you do a thorough study of the trinity doctrine. Listen to Bill Schlegel,s talk entitled Did the jews call Jesus God. This will set the pace for listening to other talks that both defend and debunk the trinity. John Macarthur and Walter Martin give a good shot in favour of the trinity. The unholy trinity, by Yahweh,s Restoration Ministry , The pagan trinity exposed and Egyptology vs the Bible are three good videos to watch. When calling up these talks, specify KZbin. I do not claim to be a teacher, or that I am an authority on anything. I only show others what I have learned and try to encourage people to research everything simply because we are individually responsible for our own salvation. Lack of sinserity in your studies will not lead you to the truth. You must be in persuit of truth and thirst for righteousness and pray that you may nit be deceived. It,s amazing where your sincerity will lead you. Be very open minded. Seek the truth, not verification of your own beliefs. Be prepared for change if waranted. If anything seems confusing to you, keep searching for clairification because God is not the author of confusion. It is interesting to note that Bill suffered one of the symptoms of false religion, when he was shunned by his colleagues, who smuggly rejected him and his research. They should gave discussed his findings for the sake of truth. These modern day pharasees did not show true discipleship. As Jesus stated - By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves. Happy truth searching.

Well stated brethren, however I do disagree that God and Jesus shared in the creation. There are NUMERSON verses that God ""ALONE" created the universe! Also Jesus stated in the book of Mark that God created Male and female!! You also state that Jesus is the First and ONLY creation of God???!!!??? who created Adam and all human beings?? God asked Job "where were you when "I" created the world?" He did NOT say "WE". To say that the world was created "by Jesus" is a false translation not stated in many translations. God created the world with Jesus in mind and for him, the same as will be the NEW creation. Why would a Jesus have to create his own heavenly throne and then strive through faith and obedience to God the Father to merit sitting on it?? Just something to consider brethren.

Jesus did not create everything but God his Father did as I don't believe the Lord Jesus Christ pre-existed in Spirit before he was born. This is also what Bill teaches. There is a cost in abandoning trinity. Truth is very unpopular, and always has been. The cost to us today is lost friendships, and relegation to the category of heretic by the 2 billion Christians on Earth. Nowhere in any bible does it say that Yahushua Messiah is Sovereign - only God Almighty is referred to as the Sovereign Lord. No common bible in usage uses the term 'Yahshua' - the many accepted translations listed on Biblehub and Biblegateway use the familiar name 'Jesus' and Christians worldwide are united in knowing who the son of God is. There are sects and cults that deliberately cause division by using pretentious names such as 'Yahuah' and 'Yahusha' which do not have common or familiar usage in everyday bibles, whereas the vast majority of people, including Christians know exactly who Jesus is.

I would say that Christ is a "different" person rather than a second person just to avoid confusion. I realized that is just semantics but as I listened, I could see how that might be confusing ( though I knew what you meant).

I would add that there are other Bibliologies besides the one Bill uses that will result in the same conclusion that Bill has. It is simply a matter of being honest with the text as a whole and what is vastly more clear which reflects what the early church believed regardless of how these texts were derived.

This testimony is so precious!! I yearn to see this Scriptural truth of Jesus as Messiah (not God) restored. Jesus is the Pattern Son, who like Joshua leads us beyond Moses into the inheritance of sonship. No longer a slave, BUT A SON (Gal 4:7). For God is bringing MANY SONS to glory! (Heb 2:10) As such, I think Jesus models for us what it looks like for God to rule as King. Not my will, but Yours be done! Samuel grieved when Israel demanded an earthly king. In doing so God announced, “They’ve rejected ME from being King over them” (1 Sam 8:7). Meanwhile, are we still looking for an external earthly king? The mystery unveiled in the gospel is that of “MESSIAH IN YOU, the hope of glory” (Col 1:27). Jesus is the anointed stone/son (eben/ben) that the builders rejected that has become the Foundation Stone in the New Temple, that is the corporate Body of Christ, wherein we too are Living Stones (1 Pet 2:4-5), ANOINTED by God into this many-membered body that Christ is… “For just as the body is one and yet has MANY PARTS, and all the parts of the body, though they are many, are one body, SO ALSO IS CHRIST.” (1 Cor 12:12)

The scriptures make a distinction between GOD and his human spiritual son Jesus. They are two persons. One is GOD, the other is a man, yes, a man. An obedient man of GOD. We see in Hebrews 1:6, the Father says to the Son “Let all God’s angels worship him.” But worship is only for God, therefore the Son of God, is also God. That is why in Hebrews 1:8 we see " But of the Son he says, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever." This also matches with what we heard earlier. Finally, we hear the Father tell the Son “Thou, Lord, didst found the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of thy hands; they will perish, but thou remainest; they will all grow old like a garment, like a mantle thou wilt roll them up, and they will be changed. But thou art the same, and thy years will never end.” So, the Father says the Son is the Lord who made everything and that He is unchanging - a property only true of God. Let's quickly summarize, we see the Father tell the angels to worship the Son, we see the Father calling the Son God, and then we see the Father applying Psalm 102 a prayer to YHWH to the Son, which affirms that He created all things and is eternal. So, St. Paul is saying that the Father acknowledges the Son as God. Given the fact there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) you must admit a plurality of Persons within the Godhead. That's why in Hebrews 1:3 we see "He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature." The Greek says "charaktēr tēs hypostaseōs" which the Greek Interlinear translates as "the exact expression of His Substance." So, the Son is the exact expression of the Divine Nature - which is absolutely incomprehensible - this only affirms that the Son is God as well. The Lord Jesus Christ is God, which is why “the Word was with God and the Word was God” (John 1:1). That’s why the Lord says “before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58). He applies YHWH’s Divine name “I AM”, as revealed in Exodus 3:14 to Himself. The Lord Jesus is God incarnate (the Word made flesh), that is why “For in him dwells all the fullness of the Deity bodily” (Colossians 2:9). All of this matches up with the fact that the Son is in the “form of God” (Philippians 2:6). That is why Jesus is "our great God and our savior" (Titus 2:13). This is also why in Genesis 19:24 we see "Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven", in the Hebrew it says "YHWH" in both instances of "the Lord." So there is YHWH in heaven, and YHWH on earth. This only makes sense when you realize both the Father and the Son are YHWH. Which is how the Son is the exact expression of His nature (Hebrew 1:3), being in the form of God (Phil 2:6), which is why the Word was with God, and was God (John 1:1), which is why the fulness of the Deity dwells bodily in Christ (Colossians 2:9), because He is the great God and identifies Himself as "I AM" (John 8:58). So you do not have the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is God, if you do not acknowledge His Divinity. And if you do not have the Son - you don't have the Father either, and you will not be saved - unless you get baptized in the Trinitarian formula (Matthew 28:19, John 3:5). *The only reason why the Lord Jesus was a worthy sacrifice that could eternally atone for sins is because Jesus is truly God and truly man* . Since He is truly God, His sacrifice is of infinite value. Since He is truly man - His sacrifice is representative of all of humanity - making Him the new Adam, which reconciles all creation. No creature can pay an infinite price - but Christ who is the God-man can be a worthy sacrifice once and for all.

These objections are easily answered with basic Trinitarian and Christological Theology: - Did God die? The Divine Essence did not die. The Lord Jesus Christ is One Person with two natures - Divine and Human - united in a single Person (look up hypostatic union and chalcedon creed.) So Jesus Christ did experience death (separation of soul from body) although the Divine Essence never ceased to exist (as it is immutable.) All change occurs on the side of His humanity. This is what is meant by "the Word was made flesh." The only reason the Lord Jesus' sacrifice could forgive all sins eternally is because His sacrifice was of infinite value due to Him being true God and true man. - Where does it say the Son is co-equal? Revelation 5:13 shows all creation giving the Lamb (Jesus Christ) the same glory as the Father. That is why He "reflects the glory of God" (Hebrews 1:3) and why "the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof" (Revelation 21:23). So the Son reflects the glory of the Father and is the light which shines the glory of God. That just means they share the same glory and are co-equal. The Son is co-equal as respect to His Divinity, but lesser to the Father according to His humanity (which is affirmed in the Athanasian Creed and Catholic theology.) - Where does it say the Son is of the same substance of the Father? Hebrews 1:3 greek interlinear says the Son is "the exact expression of the Substance" of the Father. Which is why He is in the "form of God" (Philippians 2:6), which is why the fulness of the Deity dwells bodily in Christ (Colossians 2:9), since He is the Word who was with God and is God (John 1:1). - Where does it say Jesus took on flesh John 1:1 says "the Word was with God and the Word was God", and in John 1:14 says "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us." So the pre-existent Word who is God and who was there in creation was made flesh. Which is why John 17:5, Jesus says "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." Jesus had glory from the Father before the creation of the world because He is pre-existent and shares in the eternal Divine glory of the Father.

Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Means Jesus before he came as a human was pre existing otherwise there is no point in saying he came in the flesh. If he was only human then why make the statement he came in the flesh? And the Word became flesh meaning the Word was something before he put on flesh. Read Revelation 5 all of creation gives the same worship to the Father & The Lamb. God in the Old Testament says over and over again do not worship the creation only worship God alone. God does not change he said there is no savior beside me. God knew in the Old Testament he would send Jesus as our Lord and Savior and yet we see in Revelation Jesus sits on a throne right next to the Father as our Savior.

I have a sincere question for all of you that seem to understand that your understanding is that God excludes Jesus. You think that a mortal man as you have made Jesus and you claim that you trust him for salvation Eben as you claim that he is not God or diety. Let that soak in. If Jesus is not diety then your sins will not be forgiven. The Bible says that his blood is precious why because it's God's blood. God the Son who had no beginning or end , Alpha and Omega. Remember your words when you see Jesus one day in all his glory(read revelation). You will bow and worship Him and you will be worshipping God. You do not accept that now but you will.
