That lady was being yelled at by the ems and park medical staff because she kept interfering. They said not to let her near the lady.

She is a list she said that she helped she had no blood on her and the real nurse would not let her cross over cause she was so can't bossy and did NOT know what she was talking about ...another person wanting to take away attention from the real nurse that is why they are yelling at her to shut up

I am a certified family nurse practitioner with 2 years ICU experience, 5 years ER experience, and almost 10 years in primary care. I’m pretty sure I knew more about the situation than anyone standing there. No sense of urgency. Obviously I was not in the wrong and CP is hurting over how terribly this was managed. I appreciate everyone’s opinions though!

This should be a case study for nurses and EMS people on how not to behave in a situation like this.

The park medical officials kept yelling at her to leave the lady alone. She kept saying she was a nurse and trying to help but the one guy kept saying get her out of here I don’t want her near her.

I’d like to say that glorifying this FNP is not sending a positive message to laypeople. As an Ohio EMS medical director and EM physician, I am disturbed at her behavior on scene and afterwards. This woman was videoed incessantly interfering with EMS on scene, screaming at them, and yelling out that she is an EM physician. She is not a physician, and that is misrepresenting to those surrounding her. I recommend you reference the EMS body cam footage that is posted where all of this can be seen. She is lucky that she wasn’t arrested, and is clearly not familiar with state EMS protocols, as it’s not in her scope of practice. EMS is trained to ignore bystanders, but Ms. Zinni was not aware of that and was aggressively barking commands at them. EMS can be heard appropriately telling her to “go away” in the body cam footage. She can defend her actions all she wants, this is inappropriate all the way and she is too blind to acknowledge her mistake. She then went on her social media account to post how traumatized she was, a picture of herself crying, and the medical record testimony of this poor patient she decided to make public for 15 minutes of fame. What kind of privacy does that give this patient? It’s embarrassing. Always another side, wish journalism was more thorough before they pull the trigger.

EMS has moved away from backboards years ago. It is not a staple in most protocols. Studies have shown that cervial spine immobilization isn’t necessary. EMS did just fine here. If this patient truly had brain matter exposed, this is a “scoop and run” scenario to remove her from the scene as quickly as possible and start care in the back of the ambulance. They likely applied a cervical collar and started an IV enroute- neither of which was appropriate or necessary to do while this patient was laying on the ground in the line que to a cedar point ride with this bystander screaming in EMS’s ears. Please, stay in your lane.

She is entitled to her say, as a medical professional, and given CFEC's long habit of enforcing secrecy and coverups simply because they don't want "rumors" to spread. The police chief is a direct Cedar Fair employee, and as such is beholden to his bosses' demands. Even the employee who witnessed this incident has concerns about this being a coverup.

She was in the way and now she's patting herself on the back. She's turning someone's real tragedy into a drama about herself and she should just be happy she wasn't arrested. What reputable news station puts this drama queen on the news but doesn't do the research on her enough to know she's being untruthful about the entire thing?

I know you’re looking for a feel good feature article style story. However, you need to be responsible and do a follow-up story on how her words and actions are misguided, overzealous, overstepping her bounds and misrepresenting her qualifications to the point of being dangerous. It’s been proven to be by legitimate EMS and medical personnel online. I’ll post an example below copied from a public comment in reply to this one. It’s lengthy. She can be seen on Cedar Point Police body cam yelling incorrect information to the officer which he relayed to Paramedics. Thankfully they ignored both of them. She could have caused more harm to the injured lady. She lied about her medical credentials. She took photos of her police report then posted them online with a photo of her looking distraught in order to claim she and the injured person she is ‘advocating’ for were beig treated unfairly. Which is not true. That’s irresponsible and dangerous to actions in the future to say that. Her brother’s facebook page showed videos of her presumably earlier in the day drinking alcohol at CP and encouraging him to take cell phone video on top of millennium force’s lift hill. A ride op told him to put it away over the PA speaker. It was posted at 4:15pm that day. The accident occurred around 4:30pm If she truly wishes to be a self-proclaimed patient advocate. She needs help herself first. She’s good at heart. Not sound in mind. These facts need to be know about this person. She has disparage the park’s employees online in unprofessional language with disregard to constructive criticsm about how herself and the injured person were mistreated in her mind. Which is incorrect. I would hope your news channel already knows that. This information is available online. That’s how I know it. If anyone follows her lead they could injure someone. That’s what bothers me. People believe what she did and how is correct. It isn’t. How people perceive the park’s employee’s is another reason I take the time to say this. I told her that in different words on a body cam youtube video. She hasn’t replied. If she deletes her prior comment it deletes mine. As I’ve stated elsewhere, no matter what anyone thinks of my channel name. It’s normally used for comments and videos I don’t need on elsewhere. I prefer not to use my name it’s not necessary. I don’t grandstand. I watch and discuss. Than you for allowing me to post. Here’s an EMS public comment. Make of it what you will…

I was there :/ she was alive and awake when this happened she was screaming and everyone panicked and freaked out and even tried hopping fences to evacuate but we walked by her on our way out she was kind of near the front entrance. It was bad. I've never seen something like that in person. I hope she is okay. Also I dont know if anyone else has mentioned this but that day, top thrilled dragster was closed all day. We got to the park early it was closed all day and noone knew why and we were looking on the app and saw it had just opened and everyone was running over to it, to get in line. It ran idk maybe over 10 times while we were in line. And then was still running when people were screaming stop the ride, is anyone a doctor? It ran like another 2 times before they realized something was wrong and said on the announcement thing that we all had to leave. That the ride is closed. And people tried to cover the woman they held up shirts and coats to try to cover her so kids passing by on the way out wouldn't see everything. There was a lot of blood.

Maybe the ride was acting weird before and thats why it was closed all day maybe something wasn't working right and they thought they fixed it but didn't put it back right ? And also I didn't see this lady I was in a hurry to get out with my family asap, I think I left before her but there was a group around the woman trying to help but we left before the ambulance got there. There were people blocking the ambulance and the security and police officers had like a megaphone and told everyone to stay back and get out of the way so the ambulance could drive through. And after everything happened the park stayed open and later we walked by the dragster and there was police tape and officers making sure noone went near the scene.

There are statements that it was closed at the start of the day, then reopened, then was closed during the 1 o'clock hour due to fault alarms and and maintenance, and then reopened before the accident happened. I wasn't there that day when it happened. Did you see what the ride employees were exactly doing during this incident? Did they direct guests to go in certain directions?

This woman was completely inappropriate. She has no expertise in the field of prehospital care, and is using her position to defame other providers. Despite having no clue what she is doing. EMS is not always pretty, but good job by the EMS team for extracting in under 5 minutes, and controlling a scene with a combative woman. Remember ma’am, healthcare is a team. There’s no I in it.

nurses are trained for a lot of things, but not ems and on scene emergencies- it’s just two totally different things, in the body cam she was obviously in the way and bossing people around as the ems were trying to get themselves and equipment so they could transfer her out

@ccampanaful
@ccampanaful 2 жыл бұрын
@Dancing No. In any penetrating injury, the current guidelines are to leave the object in place until a trauma surgeon can remove it. This is due to the risk of causing hemorrhage when removing, as the object could be tamponading a serious bleed. Not all objects end up getting removed, example: shrapnel, bullets, and fragments. Hope this helps answer your question. 👍🏻
