$22.00 Amazon carb on an old John Deere snowblower

I paid $11.98 for one on Amazon for the Tecumseh engine on my old Ariens 824 with the spring drain on the bowl and put it on yesterday. After I adjusted the fuel mixture jet and the air mixture jet and the idle speed screw it worked great! I did also order an OEM carb rebuild kit for the old Tecumseh carburetor though for $23.00 and this Spring when the weather is a bit warmer I'll rebuild it after chucking it in my ultrasonic cleaner. I'd do it now but first I have to repair my torpedo heater for my old garage as my fingers were numb from the cold by the time I got the carb changed out and then got the driveway cleared off, lol.

I usually do the same thing. buy 1 cheap and an oe rebuild just in case. -I should say, a kit to rebuild the oe.

The original carb is far superior. But me being lazy, and wanting to see if the thing actually worked I had to try it.

Using electric starter , do not need primer ! Too much gas flooding carb . I never use primer when using electric starter, except hand pull !
