Ok I know how to replace the belt but how do I tension it?

12:20 and on, basically rinse and repeat but don't take everything apart, take it apart until you have all four wheels of each strut exposed and just how they did after reconnecting the belts in each hole, tighten and loosen those bolts after making the adjustment for tension you need. Pretty simple.

My brand-new printer is not printing square. After searching and searching I finally found this video. Way too complicated. should not have to completely disassemble it to adjust the belt. Returning it.

Agreed, it's completely ridiculous. Mine makes grinding and rattling noises coming from the idlers when moving the toolhead around.

I have the same problem. Printing not square and different dimensions in front and back

@@michaelrogocz1160 I returned my printer to Amazon and then ordered a replacement direct from Flashforge. The replacement works great.

There is no need to tear the printer apart for tensioning. Just to remove the back plate. Then there are 4 screws for each motor mount, 2 on inside and 2 on the backside. They are in slots and the motor mount is spring loaded so if the screws are loosened the spring should set them to the right tension. Do not overtighten the screws. They sit in bad heat inserts and the inserts can start to spin in the housing. Don't ask how I know 😵

Any way you could make a video for those of us who are uncertain how to do it? I've been looking everywhere for a guide and can't find one. I am super frustrated that there are no guides, or parts available to work on my printer.

For the pro you don’t need to remove the backplate. There is a hole and you have access to the screws.

I just received my printer and one of the belts is loose... do you really have to do all this just to adjust the tension???

I have the 5m not the 5m pro yet this is the only video and i have to tear apart the whole thing just to adjust the tension on the belt?!?! That’s rediculous
