Na (twee keer) de highschool te hebben doorlopen, zijn er grote veranderingen op komst voor agenten Schmidt (Jonah Hill) en Jenko (Channing Tatum) als ze undercover gaan op een plaatselijke universiteit. Maar als Jenko een gelijkgestemde ziel ontmoet bij het footballteam en Schmidt bij het kunstwereldje infiltreert, beginnen ze twijfels te krijgen over hun vriendschap. Nu moeten ze niet alleen de zaak oplossen - maar ook uitvogelen of ze een volwassen relatie kunnen hebben.
