Heads up to anyone playing in 2023: this colosseum is really easy. The wheel slows and stops at a set rate after pressing A, so if you get a rhythm of timing it correctly, you can pick exactly what you want. the best spot to stop it when you see what you want is when the pokemon is about two slots left from the center, but it definitely takes some practice and observation to get it right. once you do, it goes from a chaotic mess of getting nuked by your own Pokemon and landing Jumpluffs and Corsola, to steamrolling everything and even stealing your opponent's Pokemon if they catch your eye.
