Ah! the bonnet hinges, have you looked at draught seals? I tried split rubber, didn't work (always a drama anyway 😂) modified hairy letter box excludes, no good either. Ultimately a fatbricated inner box around the hinge arc or a complete change of design to adapt a cantilever hinge contained within the front boot area would work best. Fantastic build as always Andy 👍

Great to see you back! On using 911 gauges, what are your plans on calibrating the tach to the Subie engine, speedo to the vw mechanical cable, gas gauge, oil, etc.? I’m doing a similar engine swap in ‘72 Super Beetle and also using vintage Porsche gauges (914 ‘Silver-dots’). Thx!

I’m getting the wiring loom done for me by a guy called Patrick at Premier Wiring Systems to speed the build up. We’ve been running through gauges, components and wire lengths over the last few days. He’s going to sort that side of things out for me but I will certainly let you know how he goes about tackling this as it develops!
