.22 WMR Suppressed on the Sound Meter.

18.5” barrel cut back from 22” and threaded. Using Griffin taper mount set up. Ammo is Hornady 30gr V-Max ammo going 2200fps.
Unsuppressed on factory barrel length (22”) average was 154.16db at muzzle. Suppressed testing on shorter barrel netted 128.03 average for a 26.13db drop.

What numbers do you usually get with dedicated .22wmr can? Thanks for the upload btw

I unfortunately don’t have a dedicated 22 mag suppressor. My older 22LR AAC can isn’t rated for it. If this SDN6 was a .22 size bore I’m guessing a solid 4-5 decibel drop.

@@clintmullins8670 to answer your 2 questions in one shot. NO the SDN6 and a few other of AAC suppressors had a ratchet style QD mount welded on. I had sent it off to have a mount conversion done. ECCO Machine out of Colorado has a website and does amazing work. The blast chamber is big on this can for its size. The 7.6" length isnt too long but could easily shrink the blast chamber down making the OAL more around 6". Just having a smaller bore would help out IMHO. Since this round is supersonic and has triple the energy of the .22LR it might never see a reading as low as its smaller brother gets. Not saying its never going to happen though.

The info is in the description for unsuppressed data to see what it did. I already tested it off camera to get numbers prior. Really didn’t think people wanted to hear an unsuppressed 22 mag. If you have one you already know it’s loud.
