Body Cam Watch

Күн бұрын

On June 2, 2023 in Florida, a sheriff's deputy observed a speeding Mercedes SUV. Due to the vehicle's high rate of speed, the deputy wasn't able to catch up. The deputy maintained visual until the SUV pulled into a residential driveway. When the deputy arrived to conduct a traffic stop for the infraction, the driver was already stepping out of her vehicle. This is footage of the events that followed.
Footage on Body Cam Watch is for educational purposes only. All information has been supplied by local law enforcement agencies and is considered by law to be public information. The subjects in these videos are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Body-worn camera footage has been edited for length and in accordance with KZbin community guidelines while maintaining a journalistic focus.

I've worked in healthcare for 12 years. Takes a lot more than simple arrests to keep people from practicing. The state board might put her on probation or an action plan when she finally passes her board exam but she won't get kicked out of nursing school. If she were involved in some kind of abuse or violent felony then sure. She'll plea this down, do the requisite driving classes/community service, pay the fines and then likely have it expunge in a year.

It's wild, I was 23 when I got pulled over last year for going 15 over coming down a hill (50 in a 35). I always talk with manners (yes sir/no sir) and when he asked if I knew the speed limit of that road, I was honest, that I didn't know it off the top of my head as I lived on the other side of town. He asked for my license and registration, as I reached for it I realized it was in my wallet in my purse and not in my school bag 🤦‍♀I did have my registration and he was able to confirm my license with my SSN and DOB. He came back and told me he was gonna let me off with a warning for the speeding, and to remember my license in the future since that was a whole other charge. The police deal with people like the woman in this video all the time. If you are a polite and honest person who made a mistake and is genuinely remorseful, 9 times out of 10 they will give you a warning and let you go.

Do people realize you’re supposed to fight tickets in court? If an officer is giving you ticket, you’re not going to get out of getting the ticket by talking to your lawyer right then. Or talking to a supervisor. You take the ticket and you take the steps to appeal the ticket in court. You can get the points off your record and everything if the court agrees with you.
