22 years of skateboarding progress (Raw Clips)

My name is Nick Truscelli and this is a recap of my 22 years of skating progress so far.
(The first year -- 2002 I had no documentation of)
*Light insight into my skate journey*:
If you're wondering, I never made it pro, and I have no sponsors. I did have shop sponsor once when I was 17 (BC Surf n Sport - Colorado Springs, CO) eventually they went out of business.
Otherwise, I have tried to obtain many different flow sponsorships and haven't had much luck. I do compete in amateur competitions regularly for fun with my own funding. I keep myself afloat thru my bartending/other jobs.
The skate industry has been extremely difficult for me to navigate, and I think its partly because I'm mostly quiet and reserved when I'm skating because its my place of zen. Anyone who's had a conversation with me knows I'm a genuine soul. You can't exactly be a bartender and not be a friendly and personable person haha (it doesn't work).
No matter how much I've been through with this I will always love skateboarding, and I plan to keep pushing my own personal boundaries, because that’s what I enjoy doing. I hope this inspires a few people to stay consistent regardless of the results.

Awesome!! Big respect, you've come a long way. How many really bad injuries did you have in these years?

Thank you! I have been lucky with minor injuries small fractures, sprains, slightly torn mcl, staples on my head and shin, etc. Worst I had happen was in 2008 or so I racked on a rail pretty bad had to have a little surgery down there 😬 all turned out ok (miracle), but I’m an idiot and racked on a different hand rail again in 2017 I believe 🤦‍♂️ (another miracle no major damage just bad swelling and bruising). So skating the hand rails are now my least favorite thing. 😬😂

Back then when i was still skateboarding, i did that bail as well, but i didn't had to do surgery luckily, still i never found the motivation to do a handrail again lol, respect for your courage haha! Now my body is too old to do that stuff anymore, but i still love watching videos. Gives me at least a bit of those memories back! Honestly don’t stress it, it took me forever for kickflip, probably a year. I remember I used to credit card myself in my driveway trying 😂. Don’t give up man it gets better with time once you land the first one you’ll be hooked
