I happened to come across this video algorithmically about two years ago, and since then, I've watched it more than ten times. The way you looked while riding the board was really cool. From that moment on, I preferred boarding. Despite falling countless times, I kept challenging myself because I had a strong desire to ride the board. In the end, I may not ride the board as perfectly as you do, but various boards such as skateboards, shortboards, longboards, S-boards, and even snowboards have become my hobbies. Fun fact: the drifts on a longboard or skate board are called powerslides a good way to slow down or turn more effectively but shreds ur skateboard wheels to be flat so be careful if you use em always check ur wheels before you skate because flatwheels can get you to face palm the floor

There's actually specific "leathers" for downhill longboarding that are made specifically to fit the form of a downhill tuck. They can be anywhere from $400-$2000 depending on the brand, features, and if it's custom fit or not.

That feeling of speed, when the wheels get rolling and your going down. Adrenaline and focus set in and its total bliss. I remember thinking i cant stop once it starts, and became so comfortable I knew i couldn't and it felt even better with that farther under standing. Nothing compares truly, to that time I've spent on my boards. I remember coming out of runs and the decompression was insane.

For the record I spent most of time time in really hilly neighborhoods and urban city settings. Stuff like this has a longer run than those hills but some serous I speed none the less. By all means you should be worried about your safety, and you are. But you commit and it’s blissful. The amount of adrenaline/stress you were under feels like the world goes away for a bit after your speed goes to a cruise.

@Dat While that might be true, it's highly unlikely for him to be ragdolled, even going 40-50 mph, most of the time, as long as the board doesn't immediately stop (like if he ran into a retaining wall), he would keep balance for at least a second, and allow himself to get into a position so he can slide on the pucks and his shoes so as not to get injured fatally. That said, it is a dangerous game that longboarders play, but I'm sure none of them want to die, and have other, more subtle safety measure in place to protect against serious injury.

That's because the cameraman was doing the exact same thing as the lead rider, except also holding a camera perfectly balanced. Granted, he was wearing stabilizers, but can you imagine doing what we saw that guy do, plus wearing stabilizers on your shoulders and waist to mount the camera?
