Reminds me of Jackson Pollock and his drip paintings, this painting was stunning even in it's early stages.

Many thanks, Susan - I'm really enjoying the process. I added a few more colors and layers and it is done now ;) I will show the finished work in a YT short ;)

Your ability to create meaningful dialogue and meaningful marking at the same time is refreshing and so helpful! The process of creating is so important; much more so than the product for most of us.

Thanks Mary! Yes process, process, process-if we find the ones we love our work will hopefully reflect that after the last brushstroke 🎉

THANK YOU Rex Art! Love the freedom of your mark making and then how you rein it in. The 2 step canvas is so cool!

I love your calm + the way you ‘explain’ things fits well with my way of learning. I love Rex Art for its custom panel options, and its service! My first order, they called me to be sure I understood the sizes! 👏

Awesome - thanks Tania! Yes, they also call - a LIVE human - no fake bot - to confirm all custom orders. For this kind of TLC - it's truly a rare family owned company that doesn't cut corners ;) So happy you liked the video - thanks!

Wonderful to view this technique with you, Pam. Your guestures are full of energy, indeed like a quick Autumn wind whipping at the trees. Wouldn't Pollock, and others, be gobsmacked at your use of new tools. Thank you for this.

Well you are much too kind and generous-but thank you anyways! After so many years I think I’m realizing it is best to gravitate toward what I am most excited about and marks are it!

It's always fun when you discover your tools can do a wide variety of things. I was thinking "music" as I watched this, so that's interesting. Looking forward to how this proceeds for sure! And side note, aren't those inflatable collars for dogs a game-changer? I got one for my dog last year after she had surgery and whoa, way better than the cone of shame, ha! Have a good one and thank you!

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! Yes to the inflatable collars-Vincent can get through the pet door without any problems! I’m so happy you also thought of music; there is a certain rhythm I feel I’m being led by, and it is a great way to use the whole body to manipulate all the tools. Happy painting to you!!

Thank you Pam, your last two videos are exactly what I needed to see today - and to hear your commentary. To say I've had a tough 12 months would be an understatement, the last 6 have been every parent's worse nightmare, and I've hardly been in the studio. Now I feel inspired to get in there, have a massive clear-out and play without an end result in mind. I'll look forward to seeing the next stage - the stage i have the most difficulty with!

You are so welcome! I’m so sorry to hear you e had a difficult 12 months. I too have found the last year to be challenging in many ways. I hope for the best for you and am so happy you have been inspired by the videos. Please paint for the joy of it; life is fleeting. 😊

Total abandon! Love It! Can you tell us why you use airbrush medium to thin paint rather than water?
@PamelaCaugheyКүн бұрын
Thanks for your comment and question :) I have read and heard that while water can be used sparingly, it is best to add "like" chemical/molecular" structure to like - and airbrush medium is an acrylic polymer like acrylic - vs water which is now. Water - if you add too much, will impact the adhesion and binding properties - so that is why I like to use airbrush medium :)

Yes I am a fan of his for sure! I am choosing to work with a variety of tools on a wall vs the floor but live the energy of a Pollock! 😊 Thank you for your comment-much appreciated!

Definitely musical! I was thinking of a symphony as you created this lyrical painting. Such variety! And of course, Jackson Pollock comes to mind. I was hoping you would add a bright color, but as you progressed, I changed my mind & could see the beauty of Fall showing up here. Will there be a part 3 or are you calling this done?
@PamelaCaugheyКүн бұрын
Thank you so much, Nancy! I’m glad you also hear music -I thought it was just me! The painting is now finished (called “Tempest”) and I will publish a KZbin short showing the final stages with comments. On to the next!
