How to Make a 220V to 20V 30A High Current Power Supply for Battery Charging
In this video, I will show you how to make a high current power supply for battery charging or testing purposes. This power supply can be used to charge a variety of batteries, including lead-acid batteries, lithium-ion batteries, and NiMH batteries. You can add three 6v batteries in series.
The power supply is made using a few simple components, including a transformer, a rectifier, a regulator, and a Inductor. I will walk you through each step of the build process.
By the end of this video, you will have all the knowledge you need to make your own high current power supply for battery charging.
Here are the materials you will need:
1. A 220V to 12V transformer
2. 2 10A Diodes
3. Inductor
4. Capacitors 2200uf, 50v
Here are some tips:
Use a transformer that is rated for at least 30A.
Choose a voltage regulator that can output at least 20V.
Use a heat sink that is large enough to dissipate the heat from the regulator.
Make sure the case is well-ventilated.
