That non-reloadable Tula 223 ammo sticks in my bolt-action rifle. I had to pull the bullets and reload the bullets and powder into brass shells. Fixed the problem. When done shooting these I will buy no more tula 223.I will go with the Fed 223 100 round pak from now on at $40.00 a box.

Steel case ammo could wear down your extractor ($8) and if the bullet is bimetal copper and steel, it will wear out your barrel($100) at about 6k rounds vs 10k rounds. If you can afford 6k rounds you can afford a barrel. Use the chrap shit for fun.

I can't believe nobody explained why steel cased ammo gets stuck in some. It is because the steel doesn't expand like brass so the powder goes around the sides.

Most steel casings suck if you shooting 223 or really any pistol cartridges in steel casings that’s wild as hell brass 9mm and 223 are very cheap to shoot and I tried a lot of steel casings in my 223 and it jammed every single time so if you have a 9mm or a 223 you might as well buy brass because it’s really cheap and obviously better than steel casings and if you save all you brass you can reload it, sell it, or recycle it

Yeah theres nothing wrong with the steel cased ammo at all. All there is to do is make sure to clean your rifle after a long day at the range and thats it. Of course I clean my rifle after every trip so basically completely nullifies the non existent issue anyway. If your rifle cant shoot steel then throw it in the garbage and buy a new one... I just purchased a "value pack" of the UMC Remington for $22 bucks. I know it was not as cheap as the Federal but I like to shoot all types just to see how they stack up ya know. I also want to see how well my rifle handles the various types. And it has handled them all actually. I just like to know that I can grab a box of whatever and defend myself in case the situation ever comes to pass. id hate to have a weapon that was a snob.

My go to 5.56 ammo are federal 55 and 62 grain (green tips). I have thousands of Remington 223 that I purchased over the years. I wonder if the Remington 223 would be all you needed?

been using Tulammo .223 62 grain hp... paid 248 for 1000 rounds. about .25 cents per round. Works great in my rifle.

I haven't shot my match grade stuff yet. Just completed my first rifle so I've only been practicing with the cheap bulk wal-mart ammo. But the Perfecta is noticeably more accurate than the Federal 100rd bulk pack. Once i get my consistency better ill start to group test more expensive ammo.

If you want to do your own reload of ammo. Don't buy TulAmmo as it's a one time use ammunition that is know to fowl up and cause additional carbon buildup. This is the resulting factor when using cheap ammo in your weapon. LAX ammo has deals on bulk ammo better than Walmart can offer

I know this was a video made a while ago but UMC or MC is not metal case, it has nothing to do with the case. UMC stands for Union Metallic Cartridge Company. Which was the company that turned into Remington in later years.

I myself reload and got my 223 down to 27 cents per round. When reloading need to learn how to be a shopper. Just because you reload always doesn't mean it will be cheaper. More so when you live in New Jersey we don't have the luxury walking to a Walmart for supplies.

$5.25 (les my 10%) around here for the tula. BTW< the steel case can be reloaded, and last knew it is boxer primed, at least all of it I have is. Not ideal to reload it, but it would be worth saving the cases just in case, esp in shtf and ammo of any kind is hard to come by.

never use tulammo in bolt actions they work fine in semi auto rifles but with bolt action it will jam your gun it gets stuck in the chamber and can brake your extractors many people have reported this i don't know why it does this for bolt actions but it does. so just use them in semi auto guns only

I'd say stick to the steel during range sessions, and save the brass (cleaner ammo) just in case. Imagine a time when you cannot get anything to clean your rifle. Clean ammo will become a necessity over all.
