I had truly forgotten that doomed and sad feeling I got when I underwent aggressive chemotherapy treatments. Just the thought of going to the cancer center to sit for 6 hours in that chair while highly toxic chemicals were infused thru my veins made me sick to my stomach and induced so much anxiety. But it finally killed my stubborn form of cancer. Although it almost killed Me as well! I'm sad to hear this sweet lady has passed away a few days ago. My sister did not survive her battle with cancer either and died years ago at 49 years old.

I watched this post and left without comment yesterday. I have to say this..please know how much I love and admire you Nicole. I was so glad when you opted to discontinue treatment. There is ALWAYS ALWAYS another treatment. I have never seen them "extend" someone's life span...only someone's misery, and most often be the cause of that extended misery. I can see that this decision is a really tough one for you.. I am sorry to post this...but all the pollyanna positive happy talk sometimes is so naive, even tho I know it comes from a place of love as does this. Love you, brave brave girl❤❤❤(Ann)

Taking the infusion in the hospital chair is worth it if it gives you extra months. You know that it's the thing you need to do but you are sad. That's the bugger. There's no 'good' treatment at this point. Hopefully the headaches don't get too bad. Hugs from Scotland. We have had warmer weather in this area (Aberdeenshire) in the past few days. There is a great bike ride loop from home on the coast up into the hills which I did yesterday starting early, 5 am, with the early sun reflecting on the sea and no wind. The only sounds near home were birds and the sea, then inland just the birds and a very few cars.

Good for you! Chemo pills and the infusion chair! Never say never, right? Yes, 6 more moths is all you need for another miracle drug to pop up! Besides, what is this works better than expected? and you look back to imagine, what if I hadn't! I'm not a fan of prolonging pain but if pain is minimal why not give what ever is out there a shot? You doo look better. PT is working and I'll bet you will feel even better when we meet up next week. I'll be here cheering you on and sending positive, healing spirit to you all week!
