Black Widow: a fun blend of Tempest, Centipede, & Robotron 2084! Have played this on the home gaming systems but alas haven't encountered it its arcade form. (and I won't tell you how long it's. been since I seen/played a Gravitar!)

Gravitar was just too demanding game for the masses and had a long learning phase. It was too much ahead of its time back then. Pure skill and finesse. Nothing wrong with Black Widow though, it's a solid game and a cool Robotron rip. You have the one there in very nice condition.

I know it's an old video, but you can (almost completely, or completely) eliminate the screen flicker by adjusting the shutter speed of the camera. 60 for 60fps, 30 for 30. You'll still get some oddities with 60, but it takes some experimenting to get it good, or great.

This was probably filmed in 30fps...as it was a HD Videotape camera....but I am not sure. The camera we got some 2 or more years ago is 60fps and I now EDIT and render in 60fps (which I didn;t know about,

You might have to tinker with the shutter speed, or the exposure to lessen the flicker, and remain at 60fps, but that's tough with vector monitors, as the framerate varies by what it has to draw. With rasterized displays, setting the shutter to 60 usually does fine, again, might take some experimentation to find a happy medium.

OMG.....I was horrible at "Gravitar". I can't remember if you were able to put your initials on that game. But I have no memory of ever doing it. probably because I never got a high enough score. "Black Widow" reminded me a lot of "Robotron" because of the use of the twp joystick controllers. My high score on "Black Widow" so far is 232,275. I don't know if that is considered a really high score. I just know it took me a long time to get to that amount. My all time favorite arcade game that involved spiders is "Spiders" from Sigma/Venture Line. How I would love to have that game fully restored. LOL

I want to buy an asteroids that is fully restored internally.I want it to last years.I found a cab locally for 150 bucks but it needs restored.Can you guys do it? How much ?Where are you?

We charge between $800 and $1200 for a restoration typically, unless it was sitting in water. We are near Phila PA
