I’ll be doing this all to my Tempest soon. Your videos are both incredibly instructional and entertaining. I learn so much from you. Thank you good Sir 😁

Man, I'm amazed at how quick you are on the LV2000 install. I did one a few summers ago but didn't really know what I was doing, so I took like all afternoon painstakingly desoldering and trying not to destroy anything :) Meanwhile, you're like rip, clip, solder, done

Arcade Jason Hey Jas... what's a good price for a Gyruss pcb? Eventually I'd like to get one... just curious on the prices for one. Thanks!

Interesting tidbit.....I replaced the flyback on mine(to one of Bob's).....upon replacing I noticed a wire bridging two pads on the hv board on the middle pin of the flyback. I took it out(shouldn't have) and later found some service information that they were bridging that pad because the trace cracked a lot from the weight of the flyback(I noticed yours is soldered over pretty good). Have you tried the Bob Roberts flyback on the K6100? Thanks. I love your videos...My tempest is a 4 year project now, I want to finish it so badly.

Awesome video Jason, love learning about vectors :D I actually have a issue with my Asteroids monitor that keeps smoking the resistors ! What would cause this man ?
@ArcadeJason6 жыл бұрын
the 2 big sand cast resistors? you need to change the transistors on the chassis
@pinmandan51646 жыл бұрын
no the one near the sand cast ones, in between the transistors. Pretty sure I replace the transistors :\

Can you clarify some of the words you use during your videos? Deflection board, spot killer, etc. Thank you.
@ArcadeJason6 жыл бұрын
the deflection board is what connects to the yoke coil (it deflects the beam). spot killer is a circuit that turns off the beam if no or little deflection is present (that way you don't burn a spot on the screen)

You beast! Hey Jason, I heard you mention you had a couple degrees to go along with your electronic experience. Mind disclosing what your degrees are in? Just curious, because my company of 25 years is closing the doors, and I'm having to go back to school (paid for through Trade Adjustment Assistance, woohoo!), and was thinking of going for an Associates in Industrial Electronics Technology.
