You'll love the Rice Stitch. It can feel like a slow growing fabric, but it's worth it. If you get past the 4th row that's when you start seeing the true texture pattern being set up.

Beautiful shawl and a great mixture of happy mail. You are so correct abt the Swiss chocolates. I was in Switzerland quite a few years ago and was able to tour one of their chocolate factories, the aroma was amazing but the freshly made chocolate especially the warm ones were to die for. Yummy.

I love your color combos in your version of cosmic dandy Gary- I think it looks like an ancient Egyptian fabric to me- your coworker will love it I’m sure. That rice stitch scarf for your coworker has such a cool marked look to it- yes the red is a great effect👍🏻 I’ve done that on a one color fabric before. Oh I had that happen to me with loops and threads yarn and frogging too- so frustrating- l love that scarf though ❤

I'm not a stranger to frogging either. The happy accidents can stay - but there is many things that just look wrong when I mess up.

I love frizzy frilly yarns with the wool but yes those fuz fibers intertwine and it makes frogging so difficult. Ive realized with yarn like that pulling the working yarn a foot or more away from the actual work causes it to knot while frogging. So what helps me is I frog it close to the stitches and giving little tuggs basically I undo stitch by stitch when frogging projects like that. It just undos better that way for me.

Hi Gary! Greetings from Nederland, Europe. Lana Grossa is one of my favorite yarn brands, especially Gomitolo Alpaca. But I have to warn you: it will grow a lot with washing (and becoming supersoft, a real 5), so I will never use it for garments. I did however made a beautiful and warm wrap with it. I love your podcast and everything you make!

Honestly any stitch you use in ur projects looks great! Your very gifted. Do people by you wear crocheted items? I never see anyone near me wear anything handmade. Two weeks ago I went to dinner with my fiance and I was wearing a triangle scarf.It was chilly in the restaurant so I put the scarf around my shoulders. Our young waiter was looking at me like I was 100 years old...LOL ...You find all the beautiful patterns. R they really difficult? (crochet ones). Congrats Pixel!! those chocolates ...YUM

Hi Linda, I'm fortunate that I started working at a place where there are many creatives and there is a presence for handmade garments - especially in my division. Outside of this circle and on the street, there isn't too many that wear crochet. We are here to change that though! LOL!

Do the multiple strands with the bobs of colour, in the Stenli yarn, get hung up while you work with it? Are you able to frog it if you make a mistake? Hi Quilty, The Stenli Muffin Tweed Bobbin works up well with a larger hook. I didn't find it "Sticky" when getting to the tweedy bits. I did need to frog in back a few times and I would rate the frogging experience a 3 out of 5 (5 being the best to frog). This yarn also feels a little toothy - okay for me, but for others looking for softness for around sensitive areas - this may not be the best.

I'm glad you asked - why yes indeed I have. Caron Latte Cakes, Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud Fingering, Cascade Alpaca Lace and there's been a few others (but you are right - I do reserve only the finest for a 5/5).

Hello Wilkinca. I use Adobe software to piece together my Mood Boards, but I know that not everyone has this. I know many participants used Microsoft applications - like MS Word or MS powerpoint. I'm happy with any of these. If you prefer to make one physically (from printed materials) you can paste it all together and hand write the lyric within the collage. When the time comes to submit the mood board with your make, you can send me a digital snap shot of the two.
