@MrA123skid thanks. Hoping to do some real work with it this year building a dam on my mate's farm. So there should be some more footage in the coming months. Cheers.Adrian

I just came across your channel and I really enjoy watching draglines working, both large and small and it's good to see the old machines being saved and restored. I will follow along.

I don't know if I will have much more content about the 22RB as In the next month or so I will be preparing to sell her. I hope to have one last play digging a hole on my mates farm before I try fix a few oil leaks, give her a bath and take the necessary photos for the auction centre. Thanks for the comment though.

Hi Mark. Good to hear from you mate. I achieved some difficulties today. I hope I can fix the problem and at least get her back to where it will be parked. You don't feel like working on a Ruston Hornsby 6YDA Mk II by any chance? I think I snapped the Drive chain this afternoon, won't know for sure till I get the cover off. That was after I threw a propel chain, got it back on and now I'm stuck on the side of the back with a locked track, because it could lift itself back to disengage the tumbler. Not a good start to being a owner/ operator.

Thanks mate. Paint always covers a multitude of sins. Not sure if I will have deep enough pockets to fix everything. I'm getting the hang of working it now though, still need to work on getting the floor on the ditch level.

SWEET and it'll take a bit to get the brakes and clutches heated up and working right. You did fine! Thanks and GBWYou!

Wish you were here to show us how to get the floor level Lew. And the batters. It's got engine oil leaks, the exhaust manifold is wet. Not sure if that is the push rod pipes or not. Will have more video later. Same to you mate.

@@adriannettlefold9084 You'll get it and seems like a 22 was rated maybe 5/8ths or 3/4 yd. If it gets too heavy just boom it up a bit. And the brakes need to get hot to hold right. Clutches too. Just needs run and you'll work out the bugs, NO problem. CHEERS, Pal and GBWYall!

Thanks James. It's not been playing the game as far as driving in reverse goes. I got her stuck a couple of days ago. Somehow oil has leaked from the gear case onto the drum. I will get some brake cleaner onto it when I go back out. Hopefully I can sort all the nasty surprises before I have to load her onto the truck. It's not biting enough and she doesn't want to track very easily especially in reverse.

I just stopped by a spot on my way home the other day that has a 22b and a 30 b. unfortunately it looks like they over loaded the boom or something else catastrophic happend because it was all over the ground twisted up and bent all too hell from the tip too the but section.
@adriannettlefold9084 Жыл бұрын
It wouldn't take much to have catastrophic failure of the boom if there was something that hit it or caused twisting, especially during crane work. Lots of video on KZbin with that sort of thing. Where were the machines you saw?

@adriannettlefold9084 I was on a job once where we were removing large concreate piling with a barge mounted 150 ton lattice boom crane.we shook them up with a vibratory hammer a ways up.than we rigged them up with a big ass wire rope braided sling. Too pull them the rest of the way out and trip them onto a barge.we were pulling on one and the braided sling broke the barge we listing towards the piling than all of the sudden sling shot backwards after the sling broke.the main block was hanging up near the boom tip.it swang back like a wrecking ball and broke a bunch of laceings out ot the boom tip section.

A night and day difference. The machine looks great. The original 6 cylinder is a heavy piece of iron and takes up much more space than our small Daf engine. Would you like to film the original engine and all other rotating parts? Thanks
@adriannettlefold90842 жыл бұрын
Hi Ronan.Yeah I can try do that for you, when I do a service on the engine etc...
