I completely agree. I used to watch this movie with my niece at least a hundred times or more when she was a toddler. She could barely speak full sentences but she knew how to pick up a ball, toss it to my dad and say "PLAY!" And then when he would start chasing her around the room she would say "You're doing it Peter, you're using you're imagination." 😂

Hook was always my favorite movie as a kid. Made me want to become a Lost Boy even though I wasn't a boy. I always fantasized I was in that version of Neverland when I'd play Peter Pan as a child not the Disney's version. Rufio was first crush too when I first saw Hook. I gasped when Hook stabbed him and cried when he says "Do you know what I wish? I wish I had a dad like you." I didn't have a dad in my up bringing for while so when he said that it got to me. Especially since I saw Robin Williams as a father figure and as Rufio was dying he saw him as a father figure too. Hook also was the second Robin William's film I saw as a kid and I loved him in it. As an adult now when I watch it it's even more emotional seeing Robin and especially at the end when he says "To live will be in awfully big adventure. " R.I.P Robin

To be honest the more of Robin I watch the more it becomes sad and clear. In my opinion he had an identity crisis. So with the many great roles and powerful messages he portrayed, he just lost himself in translation. Something that great actors like Tom hanks, Bradd Pitt etc. can fall victim to. In the end I don’t think his mindset could take all the influence he was getting opposed to who he thought he was as a person. I’m just blowing smoke up my ass but I really think he was a depressed person but strived to uplift people in the same boat. In the end he gave in, but for someone like me he really gave me hope. That’s what I think anyway. And that’s what I’ll continue to believe. “It’s not your fault”

When Robin Williams passed, I decided to finally watch 'Dead Poets Society' ánd 'What Dreams May Come', both movies starring Robin with the subject of suicide heavily printed into it (especially into the second one, with the character of Robin actually physically visiting heaven and hell).
