Hate is such a strong word and it doesn't really belong in sport, not liking someone doesn't have to mean you hate them. It's a rivalry where the emotion level is significantly higher than against many other teams and that's a good thing. Emotions are important, but hate is a bad emotion. I know what you mean - at least I hope so - and I didn't want to offend you.

I loved after the insanely long ovation for Kane, and his three laps (unheard of, but it's Kane) the crowd goes immediately into "Detroit Suck$" I'm a Detroit fan who grew up when we were rivals in all sports. Have you ever heard the other team's crowd cheer FOR your goal before? This was just amazing. So much emotion! The woman at 6:17 wearing a Blackhawks jersey jumping up and down with tears in her eyes captures everything about this game, this ending, and just how much one guy means to not just an organization but an entire city. Luckily, I watched with these commentators first. They make the end much better, I watched with other commentators commentating, but it isn't the same. Patrick Kane... what a legend!!

I'm not crying, you're crying. That. Was. Incredible. Couldn't have drawn it up any better. Kane on a breakaway in OT against Mrazek, the Detroit draft pick... Both goalies were really good and made some stellar saves. I'm still a Mrazek fan, and not just because he and I share a birthday.

That call by Daniels and Redmond might be one of my all time favorites. This team is nuts LGRW

There is absolutely NOTHING like have Ken and Mickey calling games. Hockey isn’t hockey without these legendary voices, they are as much a part of the Wings as any player or coach.

What happened at the end is what I call 'getting Hollywooded'. You know, the classic storybook ending? Anyway, one of the greatest games in recent Wings history for sure.

Grit. That's what sums up yesterday best in my opinion. Grit. The Wings are taking a page from the Lions.

I’m sure Walman will not hold it against Kane… But Kane kinda ghosted Walman after he scored- 😬 👻

First time I'll ever say that I'm extremely happy for the non-calls that would have given the wings a PP, or the bad call that gave CHI a PP and lead to the Bedard goal because it all lead to Kane scoring on the breakaway in OT.
