Thank You for all your content. I have created a Navigation form with two levels of tabs. I would like to hide this second level when the other top level tabs are selected. I want this second level to behave like a drop down list in a combo box. Thank You, Daniel King

Dear Steve Bishop, Thank you for the informatve ACCESS VBA videos. I created a nav form as you demonstrated except that I used a defined query to provide the sql string. However, are you aware in my case that your demonstrated technique with the navigation control is that if you delete a complete row record from displayed data in the nav subform this does NOT update the underlying data and when the nav button is re-pressed the orginal data without the row deletion(s) is re-displayed? How can this be retified? Please help...

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. Your access videos are without any doubt the most advanced and are very funny too!!! One question, please. Is there any similar to navigation controls in Access 2003?
@ProgrammingMadeEZ9 жыл бұрын
***** Not that I am aware of except for possibly some ActiveX controls that are not native to Access.

Hi thanks for your amazing videos ! How can we open the form2 by code and show a form from a second layer navigation control, and get the navigation button related to that form "highlighted "(the user can see the appropriate selected tab according to the form that is showed)? Yannick
@ProgrammingMadeEZ9 жыл бұрын
+yandeb1 You have to use the DoCmd.BrowseTo method.

Thanks a lot for the info, man. I really appreciate you explain everything so well. Now, I have come across a problem that seems to be a *bug* with navigation forms... sometimes, when you click a navigation button, it prompts the user to save changes, even though no changes were made, is there any solution for this?

Hi Steve, Have you ever experienced Form Corruption after adding a navigation control (after you have populated the controls with forms.)?
@ProgrammingMadeEZ7 жыл бұрын
It happens from time to time. Try compacting and repairing or re-adding the controls.

+Julien Mathys Do you mean navigation pane? If so it already auto updates when you add something.

I just found your series and I am learning a lot, Thanks for the great video. I am working with Access 2010 Navigation Tabs and subforms. I want to use a subform to update data, but automatically switch to a form that has the fields locked for "read-only" after saving or updating a record (Clicking on the "Save Record" button). Thanks for any help...
@ProgrammingMadeEZ8 жыл бұрын
So make a form that is read only and jump to it after someone clicks on the save button of the edit form.
@ahawk8508 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reply to my question. I have the "read only" form in place on button1, button2 is the editable version. Now, I just want to automatically switch back to button1 as part of the "Save Record" sub routine. Is there a command will do that for me?

Thank you very much for being a teacher to all of us. I like that you cover the subject througly and the production timing of you videos. I hope that you explain the error on Access when you use a Navigation form in an accdbe file, it will give an error message and this is a bug in Access 2010, I'm not sure if they fixed in Access 2013. The code to get rid of that error message is '//This addresses the annoying "Requested type library or wizard is not a VBA project" error. If DataErr = -25357 Then Response = acDataErrContinue End If
